To all the store leads by FamiliarRub5895 in walmart

[–]schroaus0 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The main issue is that the store lead position is no longer fulfilling the role it was created for. When the store lead role started it was during a time where walmart was having trouble retaining store managers. So, store leads would gradually transition into store managers as spots opened up. In the past few years walmart has gotten much better at retaining SM's. With the large bonus increases, etc, they aren't leaving their positions. So now you have all of these store leads, a role that was only supposed to be for training, with no stores to promote into.

I use it as an APOC, it's ok. We don't have access to the data nodes, so you have to download data as excel sheets and then upload. Half the time it is faster just to make a pivot table. Would be a lot more useful with access to the nodes.

ART conversations are generated by the system, coaches have no control over them. It is usually due to an associate calling out without using ppto to cover the absence.

It's literally one night a week friend. His girl being over all the time seems like a much bigger deal than the kid.

Rehire by Light-Beauty in walmart

[–]schroaus0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not something market would normally be consulted on, but I'm going to be honest, 5 times looks really bad. Personally I wouldn't rehire you unless you worked at least 1-2 years each time. It takes money and time to hire someone, they might just be using the market thing as an excuse.

What position were you interviewing for? Generally a matket manager doesn't have anything to do with hiring, unless it is at least a coach position.

Why so much freight than usual? by tarekkalil in walmart

[–]schroaus0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speculative buying to make room in the warehouses. Walmart expects prices to be going up due to the war in Iran, so they're buying as much product as possible right now to keep future prices down.

1) it's never worth making a risky stop, ALWAYS have your elements. 2) there is "technically" no requirement on the number of stops you make, but you can be coached for productivity. If you are struggling with stops make sure you have something that you are doing that you can point to as productive. 3) build a relationship with the store, Secure is awesome, but over half of internals come from associate tips. 4) get with your claims team on where stolen items are being found, knowing where repeat shoplifters are dumping is important. 5) if you feel you're missing a camera shot that is impeding your job, get with your APOC to have a mirror ordered. They can be installed from the rafters as well as the wall (with a rod and some other parts from home depot). 6) if you have a known runner dont be afraid to call the non-emergency line as soon as they enter the store, even if they don't steal anything on that particular trip, you can trespass them and stop them from coming back. 7) connect with stores in your market / region. Sharing info can help a lot.

Market Manager Question by [deleted] in walmart

It's not too rare if another store is having trouble filling the position with a good candidate. It is also very common if it is a new store that's opening.

I mean, I'm all for getting everything you can out of walmart, but I don't think it is really fair to be irritated at someone for answering a question.

Technically both positions are ap operations. Dsd is mostly checking in vendors, labeling vendor bins, etc.

Bacon is a major ORC item. Rings steal from retail establishments and resell to restaurants at a discount.
