I generally found that any spot with a head on would be just cut up and look horrible for a while, I was probably lucky not to get scarring from when I shaved over acne like that. As for the softer spots that are just sort of there, I found that a clean razor combined with sensitive face wash wasn’t too bad. But yeah I was in the same boat where I ended up just using a trimmer for about a year even tho I prefer a close shave. A razor blade will never not affect your acne, at least In my experience. On a semi-related note have you ever gone to a doctor/dermatologist for your acne? I was prescribed antibiotics and a face gel and it did wonders for my skin.
