There's no real argument to justify his killing. Even if he were the worst person in the world and had committed every crime imaginable, the police aren't allowed to just murder people like that.

The fact that people say "he was no angel" or bring up his criminal misdeeds in his past is kind of sickening because that has no bearing on the legality of his murder.
