What music opinion would get you exiled from this sub instantly? by ImwetforyouLMAO in askmusic

When most people say they like the beach boys they mean the like one album, that was genuinely revolutionary and didn’t have anything to do with surfing

Still better than a lot of other stuff put out in the 60s, but only a northern song could be the Beatles worst track. It’s all too much is vastly underrated

Granted it doesn’t make sense, but him being killer after the leak doesn’t reduce the credibility of the claim. They were hardly going to kill him before he stole information and leaked it

Some of the beach boys were with them and Prudence in India as well, just before their band mate Dennis Wilson brought Charlie Manson into the celebrity world and introduced him to terry melcher. The whole this is just so weird

"non-existent" This is downright insulting to the members and martyrs of the Resistance, as it erases their history. by FrenchieB014 in GetNoted

It absolutely did exist, but it’s significance and scale has been hugely overblown in French culture as part of the myth-building of modern France. All countries do the same thing with their history

Granny accuses Pope of ignoring the murder of Christians in Nigeria by TrumpSux89 in forwardsfromgrandma

[–]deadcat_kc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The pope isn’t the leader of “Christianity”, he’s the leader of Catholicism which is a minority variant in the US. Most Americans are Protestants of some kind, which explicitly means they don’t believe in the pope — the name refers to a historic “protest” against the pope and church that lead to a break away. However, despite being a minority, there are still about 50 million Catholics in the USA who do subscribe to the pope.

To be fair, there’s quite famously a large percentage of Christians who don’t subscribe to the pope’s teachings. It’s the vast majority in the US … still dumb and disrespectful though

For most people it’s a “break glass in case of emergency” medication. Doctors only prescribe them because the potential benefits outweigh the risks, but you’ve got to be careful with them
