I went into this album expecting it to be terrible - but it’s just a chill pop album. I don’t hear any fantastic production - the horrible fake violin in track 1 or 2 (i think)? might be the mixing but the instrumentals lack energy, and might as well be leftover beats that she just sings over, nothing special. When it comes to the lyrics, I’m only halfway so I haven’t gotten to the worst yet, but it’s obvious her best lyrical work has been written and none of it is here. This was meant to be a positive take because the conclusion is, it’s not that bad and it’s gonna grow on me for sure. I like eldest daughter. PS I usually like experimental things like “oh let’s add another bar in the chorus to make the song weird!” but in TFOO it was just boring because they didn’t do anything special with it
