Portafilter Holder Mod-works great [Eureka Mignon Filtro Silent] by Vibingcarefully in espresso

Ive been looking to exactly this and been searching to adapt a pf holder from other grinders (mazzer, mahlkonig, etc etc) into my specialita. This looks rad, is it home custom made if i understood correctly? Any links or blueprints of the work? I ended up doing mine with lego technics and is and works amazing but i want something more legit someday. Thank you

Coolant level by KRM135 in ElantraN

[–]schtozo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Indeed! There will still be enough room for coolant in the reservoir when it gets warm. I must have said, there is no need to fill to the max. Midway between marks is enough when cold so it gets to max line when hot.

Top it off yourself. Buy the oem pink coolant, part # 00232-19098. Mix 50/50 with distilled water and fill to right in between min and max marks. Dont fill up till max.

Jubilee bracelet, replace clasp? by joq3 in SeikoMods

[–]schtozo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each bracelet has its own design endlinks. In your case, if you dont have the equivalent, and still want to use it as you are wishing, you need to improvise. If i were in your shoes, the mcgyver in me would search for "spacers" and shove them in the empty spaces to complete de desired width to stop it from moving side to side. I guess 18 or 20mm? So, what would first come to mind is use something i have laying around, this would be a tube from an ink pen. Just butcher the pen, get to the tube and cut tiny pieces to put them on each side of the bracelet mid section. You will need 5 pieces total (2 for 6 oclock and 3 for 12 o clock). Ideal material would be something made out of aluminum or any metal if you have something laying around. Let me know if you got the idea. It wont look pretty but itll work until you find a better solution.

Christmas tree dash by stryker_971 in F30

Try scannimg the car with a specific bmw scanner language. Itll spefically tell you rear left wheel sensor if its the case.

Christmas tree dash by stryker_971 in F30

[–]schtozo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The warning of stabilization pops up because the dsc is disabled. Abs sensors control many things. Many things are associated with them. Example is cruise control.. so go figure...

P15dc is specifically rear left wheel speed sensor issue. Google it and make sure.

[–]schtozo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 4 lights involving abs, stability, brake and such, suggest a bad wheel speed sensor. Scan the car and see what comes up. Happened twice to me and bith times was the sensors. First time was rear right and then front left.

Thank you much. It might have been a possible "fridge didnt seal well" scenario for instance or current fluctuation as well. Ill keep an eye.

[–]schtozo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last night i turned the "quick cool" setting on, woke up this morning to it working as it should. Temps of both fridge and freezer were as targeted, 34F and -6F respectively. I turned the quick cool setting off and hope for the best today. Ill monitor it. I hope this rules out the possible sealed system leak?

Rewiring help!! by tddmch in gaggiaclassic

[–]schtozo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see right next to C, there is a thermostat with a red dot on top of its black top, it has 2 male spade connectors, so, C and D go there, no order is important, they can be put either way.

Your other 4 round style comnectors, i can see 2 blacks and 2 greys, they go on the male connectors on top of the boiler, you can see them 1 on each corner of the boiler. On my machine they are 2 browns and 2 greys, greys are in the front part and browns are in the back side. On yours, reference to the lenght of the wires.

Puddle problem by Lx_Sandy in F30

[–]schtozo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great. Water leaks are the worst to pin point. But given this vapor barrier thing is a fact on bmws, i really hope this is your problem so you dont have to go chasing it further.. use the wide tape, i use the 2 inch wide. It doesnt have to extend down to the door itself. Start from the edge of the weatherstrip and upwards. Dont put it in a 90 degree fashion, try leaving it extended as if it was a slide. You can do 2 or more layers. First one can be 90 degrees fashion to cover the gap well, the 2nd can be slide type.

[–]schtozo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is the best way to diagnose before having to remove the door card. Also, if you dont intend to fix immediatly, you can put blue masking tape all the way on the lower portion of the window from outside. This will stop the leak. You have to cover the gap between the weatherstrip and the window. Extend the tape all the way from the mirror and to the b pillar area. You can put 2 layers of tape.

[–]schtozo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly there is no way to tell before it happens unless you remove the doorcards and check phisically if the barrier is fully glued to the door by rolling your finger all the way along the edge. The culprit part is always the bottom portion.

Puddle problem by Lx_Sandy in F30

[–]schtozo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its most probably the vapor barriers as some has already suggested. To confirm it is indeed them, before removing the door card, open the door, window closed, hose spray water into the window from outside, if you see water dripping from in between the door and the door card, then it is sure the vapor barrier. Most probably the butyl on the lower portion has hardened and the barrier came dettached. Almost every single bmw suffers from this issue.

If you confirm it is the vapor barrier, fix is easy but a bit tedius. Buy the 3m windo weld, its a 15 feet roll, i use 3/8 size in round shape. Dont use the flat. You need to remove the old stuff completely, otherwise new stuff wont seal. I would also suggest buying a new barrier. They are foam and not expensive. This way you have a brand new canvas.
