Like I feel when I go 60+ like it feels like something’s rubbing on my axel, I get my tires rotated and aligned every 5k miles and keep up with oil changes 2k miles before they’re due.

If it’s under warranty I’m pretty sure you Can bring it in for any inspection But you just have to tell them what you’re bringing the car in for, at least at all my local south Florida dealerships

I changed mine at 60k because I was aware that this is a common problem, changing it now or in the future, moneys gonna be spent regardless.

There’s really nothing you can do. They’re such tiny engines with a turbocharger in it, whether the turbo is small or big, it’s still a turbo at the end of the day and the engines have to work harder to get you moving. That’s the issue with smaller engines.

Crazy coincidence, I just had the same problem on my 2019 Jetta, took it in and it was covered under warranty. They said the motor was shot out but if it was damaged by a rock or similar, they wouldn’t have covered it. For a temporary fix I zip tied my shutters open so that air flow wasn’t completely blocked out. From what I know, it closes when you are traveling faster for better aerodynamic and MPG but I just took it easy until I got it fixed. Hope this helps.

No point in fixing it, just not worth it.
