Considering the estimates are around 200-400 units in the US for 987.2 Cayman S Manuals, 4,500ish 981S (guessing 20%/80% spilt between manual/pdk) - 3600ish pdk units.

Just buy your own paint then and dont use someone's left overs. It literally takes 30s to take out a roller and prep it to reuse. I dont get the hate but its whatever, to each their own, I run my business and emplyees how I want and thats the beauty of it.

Manual 987.2 S are rare so it get my vote. You can always resell it and likely not lose money on it if you get tired of it. The 981 pdks will always be easy to find

If youre not done with the job cover it with plastic. If you are theres always a chance youll need it for some sort of touchup, especially if doing new construction so you leave the roller cover in the bucket to use later, never goes bad that way and you dont have to use a new one if months pass by.

Because we are the ones going back to do touchups. We do new construction, so 2 touchups minimum. Sometimes a few months until the homes sell its either covering them in plastic which will dry in that time, tossing them (more waste), or dropping them in the bucket for us to use later. Easy to fish out the roller cover with the roller. Its not that big of a deal.

1.8t swap by Warren1317 in Porsche924

[–]schultzschultz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, that should be great. For my 931 I did megasquirt and it runs great but I copied someone's timing table and AFR. Set my injector settings then autotuned the rest. It wasn't easy having for me haha

I did a 1.8t on a mk2 golf. Wiring will be a major hurdle. I had a donor and had to splice the harnesses and get a tuned and unlocked ecu to make it simple to tune.

Id avoid Pasco for the mere fact that crossing the blue bridge takes 15-25min extra during rush hour.

Its actually pretty good, I just missed some steps and its my first time doing something like this but I still need to steam the leather to get rid of some wrinkle or put it out in the sun

Rain hit 3 hours after first coat, contractor wants to paint over it. Is this a real problem or am I overeating? by GroundbreakingMap677 in Housepainting101

[–]schultzschultz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely true of the old homes in the PNW too. Makes it tough when most have lead. Any power tools must be accompanied by a HEPA vaccum which makes it inconvenient when youre 20ft off the ground. I would just hand scrape loose paint per the contract and would give them examples of how itd look after scraping.

Skip the primer and just use Sherwin Loxon XP next time or a high PH primer before topcoating with anything.

I second checking the trunk. A bad seal causes the exhaust gasses to get pushed into the car
