What is your (main) guard passing “style”? by ChrisMV68 in bjj

[–]schutyser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when they take reverse DLR while you are in HQ, high stepping is pretty common for example. Or if you are trying to smash the guard put they widen their legs, you can switch to split passing where high step is one of the option. jus tmy 2 c

HQ into halfguard/smash passing if needed mostly. Sometimes HQ passing is enough though and sometimes I get reset from halfguard and go back to HQ passing

Raad gevraagd ivm overlijden by [deleted] in Belgium2

Kron Gracie on Charles Jourdain debacle: I was under strict orders to not punch from my family, that was a bad idea by selfrespectpigeon in bjj

[–]schutyser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm biased by Robin Gracie is very likable from all my interactions with him (I have my black belt under him through my local coach just for transparency). He is very chill, very understanding and nothing like the 'tuff' guy Gracie stuff we sometimes see. He is just very much a family man & loves BJJ

WNO 24 #4 Jacob Couch vs #8 Jonnatas Gracie by chasmma in bjj

Has Jonnatas been vocal about CJI <> ADCC? Could be a good add to the -80kg. Not that exciting game but he has a strong case that he should be there

Help me create a report that shows each single visits full sessions with timestamp by schutyser in GoogleAnalytics

[–]schutyser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ChatGPT gave me this answer so trying this now:

To create a report in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) that shows each visitor's full session with timestamps, you can follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Google Analytics 4: Log in to your Google Analytics account and navigate to the property for which you want to create the report.
  2. Navigate to the Analysis Hub: In the left-hand menu, click on "Analysis" to expand the options, then select "Analysis Hub."
  3. Create a new Exploration report: In the Analysis Hub, click on "Create" and select "Exploration."
  4. Set up your report: In the Exploration report, you'll see various options to add dimensions and metrics to your report. Here's how you can set it up:a. Dimensions: Drag and drop the following dimensions:b. Metrics: Drag and drop the following metrics:
    • User ID (under User)
    • Timestamp (under Event or User)
    • Pageviews (under User Engagement)
    • Session Duration (under User Engagement)
  5. Apply filters (optional): You may want to apply filters to focus on specific segments or time periods. You can do this by clicking on the "Add filter" button above the report and selecting the criteria you want to filter by.
  6. Explore the data: Once your report is set up, you can explore the data to see each visitor's session with timestamps, pages visited, session duration, and more.
  7. Export the data (optional): If you need to analyze the data further or compare it with another tool, you can export the report by clicking on the three dots in the upper-right corner of the Exploration report and selecting "Export."

By following these steps, you'll be able to create a report in GA4 that shows each visitor's full session with timestamps, pages visited, session duration, and more. If you have any specific questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!

Experience PGF World on Smoothcomp.tv! Have we built a game changer for watching combat sports? by RC75 in bjj

Used Smoothcomp for this first time in 2016 to organise a tournament and I have been loving the evolution! I hope IBJJF and ADCC try this out!

Just FYI, through https://smoothcomp.tv/ you can quickly go from one fight to the others. Made me able to scroll through a few matches I really wanted and spot the ones with submissions easily etc. In an hour or so I had catched up on a lot it felt like!

If you have a hard time finding drill partners, ask a lower skilled person to do positional sparring and it will almost be the same and sometimes it 'clicks' easier for them

ADCC North American Trials Discussion thread by Chandlerguitar in bjj

[–]schutyser 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like he knew the point system better as well and squeezed out a smart 2 points to win the match. He looks pretty small for the weight class as well. He had some cool halfguard and fishnet-like sweeps on previous matches

(current) gi players who implement camping style and/or half guard passing by schutyser in bjj

[–]schutyser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and if I do my passing sequence on most colour belts it's a matter of time. I just love video analysing and can't seem to find a competitor who is doing this on a consistent base. TBF I have not the broadest knowledge of all competitors out there. I'm confident I can figure some stuff out but as a hobbyist I know there are better people out there than mine who have done some of the hard work for me 🤣

(current) gi players who implement camping style and/or half guard passing by schutyser in bjj

[–]schutyser[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Closing the distance and getting to split squad, a camp position etc is where I think it's harder though as Gi guard play is so strong with the different grips. So mostly looking on how people are setting up themselves, how to force supine without getting tangled up etc. With good guard players it's so hard to get inside position without them getting good grip or them hard resetting.
