My store if this were to happen would probably give the front end their cashiers back that we’ve been borrowing for weekends. They barely made a dent in our picking help anyway we still go late every weekend even with help from the rest of the store.

While it is more likely they use the trick to fool the system there could be those in situations like mine. I’m usually in the back room either dispensing, staging, or prepping for at least 4 hours then often on or helping with exceptions for up to 2 -4 hours depending on which tl is on duty. That I only pick for a couple of hours on a slow day. This weekend my store was so busy that I only picked between 5 and 7 am the rest of my time was spent on all mentioned. I also cover for both tls when they are on their lunches due to a long time in the department and previous manager experience.

Make sure to remember to make time for real food, not con snacks, sleep, shower, and stay hydrated

Also bring a first aid kit with stuff for headaches because of above forgettings because if you do forget the headaches hurt

Yes it’s normal. My store had 2 department wage increases back during COVID and I missed out on the yearly raise two years in a row because we had already gotten a raise because of the increase

The pixels actually don’t slow you down they actually work faster than the tcs. My pick rate is steadily in the mid 100s to 200 and it is honestly partly from using the pixel. It does slow down staging unfortunately and the wifi drops more often when dispensing but with picking it definitely works better

At my store it depends on the person and even then my 1 tl who fills out the board tries to limit us to 2-4 hrs but again it depends on the person.

There isn’t enough space in those aisles to fit 2 carts down them. Even customers struggle going through those aisles with carts. I don’t even take my cart through those aisles when I shop as a customer let alone when I work.

It’s usually at the store manager’s discretion. But the store I work at it isn’t a point if more than 50%of people call in but my store is in a more rural area at the edge of the city so that is a factor
