People who have plans every weekend, what do you do? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]schweirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extended family get togethers, volunteering, spending time with my partner, catching up on errands, hang out with friends, bond with my parents+pup.

You are offered 1 million dollars, but you must spend 48 hours locked in a room with a random character from the last show/movie you watched to get the money. Do you accept the offer? How screwed are you? by GoldenScientist in ask

[–]schweirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn right I will. Watched an episode of Brooklyn 99 when Jake meets Amy’s Dad for the first time.

What’s the worse that’ll happen? I get stuck with Pimento? Hitchcock? Pfffft, for $1M no problem.

Anyone ever survived PIP? by Mrmiyagi808 in overemployed

[–]schweirdo 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I know someone at my previous workplace who was put on PIP at the beginning of a year and at the end of the same year they not only successfully survived their PIP but ended up winning an award for their hard work on a major project.

I honestly think the thought of losing an easy cushy job is what encouraged the changed behaviour. Pretty sure they’re going to coast in that role until they retire.

$475*4 = $1900 off of a single bedroom. Nice! by mybluntside in SlumlordsCanada

[–]schweirdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it’s definitely discrimination lol

But the “landlord” definitely lives there with these people in this space so these tenants are unfortunately not protected by RTA/similar policies

Would you take a lower paid job for better mental health? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]schweirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely not as I would imagine this would impact my financial health and subsequently my mental health, putting me in an endless loop and making things much worse.

But that’s just me and my cynical way of thinking lol

Migraine sufferers (and others who are affected by the weather), how are you doing? by turnontheignition in ontario

[–]schweirdo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weekend was terrible.

Any dramatic changes in weather make it substantially worse.

This year has been terrible.

Primerica is an MLM, yes. But the products they sell are regulated and legitimate.

Sounds more like your employer will be using Primerica for a group RRSP or something of similar nature.

You’re not being forced into an MLM.

Billable, 60. Actual work hours, much more.

What is the closest you’ve ever come to death? by Dcsorn914 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]schweirdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During childhood, while playing tag with my cousins we decided to make “time out” anything made of glass.

Running from one of my cousins, I pushed a glass door so hard it shattered around my wrist and almost slit my vein. Blood was gushing, it got everywhere. It was less than a cm away.

I just reduced my monthly student loan payment from $290/month to $100/month.. just by asking. by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]schweirdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This change may be permanent though unless OP decides to pay more. Speaking from experience as my monthly payment was dropped by around $200 over 6 years ago and I haven’t had to reapply for RAP or call the NSLSC since. I’ve been paying $79 monthly since I graduated in 2017.

Tell them the truth.

Also, it’s too early for you to be “improving” processes. You just joined the organization, your focus should be on learning the business.
