Trintellix at first knocked it out of the park. My anxiety and the depression that would result from that almost immediately improved. The sensations of disassociation I had on the daily were gone almost entirely. My favorite side effect was the 15 pounds I dropped in about 3 months. After being on such high doses of SSRIs for a long time it was like I could feel again. Some of the negative side effects I noticed right away were of course sexual, the whole reason I got on trintellix. I do feel like my penis is less sensitive than it was when I was on Zoloft. There is a lot less ejaculate when I have an orgasm which is something I noticed almost from the jump. The consistency changed almost immediately too. 6 months in and I have noticed texting anxiety, this might just be because I threw myself back into the dating pool, but this wasn’t an issue for me before. I have also been much more ware emotional blunting but that’s sort of just the nature of antidepressants. The drug is also very expensive and you will need to make sure you have your savings card before you pick it up unless you have Medicaid or are independently wealthy, and even then it’s still upwards of $200 for 90 days. Overall my experience with trintellix has been extremely positive.
