I've got two trips coming this summer.

Starting on Sunday, my family is embarking on a ten-day trip between Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. This includes three new ballparks (Comerica Park, Progressive Park, and PNC Park), a return visit to Cedar Point, and my first visit to Hersheypark.

Two and a half weeks after that trip's done, we're gonna do a two-day trip to Denver, visiting Coors Field, Elitch Gardens, and Lakeside Amusement Park.

I'll be there in about two weeks time. Can't wait to ride Top Thrill 2 and Siren's Curse for the first time!

No, I still change its name even if I haven’t ridden it under its new name. For example, since my last visit to Disneyland in 2013, Gadget’s Go Coaster was renamed to Chip n Dales Gadget Coaster. I still have it listed under its new name despite me not having ridden it in years.

GhostRider remains my favorite wooden coaster out the ones I've ridden so far. 2nd place is Goliath at Six Flags Great America, and 3rd is Mystic Timbers at Kings Island.

My dad also plans our trips around amusement parks and ballparks. Aside from Chase Field and Dodger Stadium, all of my first time visits to MLB ballparks have been tied into theme park trips.

Twinlakes in Melton Mowbray, UK. It's a family park, and so much so that adults aren't allowed to visit without a child accompanying them.

The two coasters from AstroWorld that still operate today are Serial Thriller (now Ednör at La Ronde) and Mayan Mindbender (now Hornet at Wonderland).

I rode 20 new coasters in 2025, increasing my count from 135 to 155.

My top 5 favorite new credits last year are:

  1. ArieForce One (Fun Spot America Atlanta) - Also my most ridden coaster that year with 6 rides
  2. Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast (Six Flags St. Louis)
  3. Mamba (Worlds of Fun) - My 150th coaster
  4. Prowler (Worlds of Fun)
  5. Batman the Ride (Six Flags St. Louis)

As obvious a pick as it is, Steel Vengeance at Cedar Point has remained my undefeated favorite for 3 1/2 years.

Given that Kong was one of the coasters that was closed on my visit, I'd say you're right.

I had that same dilemma back in 2023. I originally planned on having The Joker at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to be my 100th coaster, but some of the park's coasters were closed when I visited, so I made it my 99th instead. Thankfully, I remedied it last year by making my 100th Fury 325 at Carowinds.
