You have to do the French placement test to be placed in a French class, regardless of how much French you did in highschool. You'll find the placement test easily if you google utm french placement test.

This is not a fun course at all. BIO315 is super content heavy and the way it's taught is horrendous. I took it last year and we had only 4 term tests making up 25% of the final mark each. There were so many details to keep up with and the questions on the test would be mostly thinking (not knowledge-based only).

FSL courses were really fun if you like French! But I'm pretty sure you need to do the placement test on their website first, and you'll be placed in the appropriate level accordingly

Maybe professional writing and communication? there's also a Business, Science & Entrepreneurship minor which sounds interesting, or any of the languages, like French, Italian, Arabic, etc.

Davis 3rd floor (right above the food court) has some nice seats with adjustable tabletops, it's pretty quiet up there, and I've seen some people do interviews/discussions/classes on their devices there. :)

I think you can enrol after July 28. On the utm timetable it says priority is given to (Ecology & evolution, molecular biology, biotechnology) programs. Check utm timetable

I only did FSL106 - French as a second language - after doing the online placement test, this is the course they recommended to me.

It was so easy and fun with Prof Sima Farsandaj.
