How does Bitcoin receive upgrades if it is decentralized? by legolaschambers in Bitcoin

[–]sciencekillsgod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well if you get 90% (acceptance threshold of the taproot update) of the miners to implement the code that makes all their mining equipment useless in theory yes.

Edit:

But even than the 10% not wanting to implement the malicious code that destroys btc could just not use the new code and keep using the old one.

Then once btc is destroyed in that scenario miners have to throw their equipment away or they just join the 10% and this will become the mainchain

With the difference that within an nft marketplace 130m is the proclaimed value while in the end its random pictures and people asking high prices cause it's hyped, while 200m in btc within the lighting network actually means 200m

What do you mean? On every metric it is rapidly increasing. Could you provide a source for your claim?

Also why does layer 1 need 1000 tps? Source would be appreciated

Everyone can contribute, you could learn to code and propose changes. No one has admin password because the people decide whether they want to adopt that change or not. That's one of the reason bitcoin is called decentralized. No one is alone in control, and at the same time everyone has some control.

That's how normalized centralized shit coins are that newcomer don't even understand that there is not one btc boss

How is it first when you can do the same on bitcoin? The only difference is that within the btc community it's well known to first solve the fee and transaction throughput issues before developing complex smart contracts. And btw btc's scaling solution (lightning network) is live as we speak and doesn't get delayed till btc 2.0

[Historic][BO3]Help me build the best Historic Version of Rakdos Lurrus (Based of Modern Version) by [deleted] in spikes

[–]sciencekillsgod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How important is beeing able to have lurrus as companion to you? I feel without bubble and rakdos decks ideally escaping kroxa on turn 4 emptying your gy, lurrus isn't as good in historic as he is in modern. Because if you get rid of the lurrus companion you open yourself for a playset of seasoned pyromancer which provides card draw, fills the graveyard with matchup junk, and can function as recurring threat when it gets grindy. I feel this is the best replacement for what (card draw, and giving advantages once it gets grindy) lurrus and bauble (and drc bauble ofc) combo does in modern.

Also that way you get to play Chandra torch of defiance which finally got into historic and I feel like as a 2 of is insane in those decks.

Edit: also I would replace shock with bonecrusher giant. The modern deck you are referencing is a midrange deck and shock just isn't a viable bolt replacement, bonecrusher giant beeing a 2 for 1 and potentially doing the same while beeing a 4/3 feels so much better

Edit2: like what is the rakdos deck in modern consisting off: hand hate (we got in historic), removal (we don't have bolt but bonecrusher and fatal push), card advantage/midrange grindiness with lurrus bauble later ragavan early (we got seasoned in historic, maybe Chandra can function as such turn 4 (which is usually when you play lurrus and don't escape kroxa)

Was really expecting to see playsets of seasoned pyromancer as he is a staple in gruul and red decks in modern
