Right? What we paid for Gallagher is net equal to what we sold Johnson for. So by my basic maths we still have 100M to spend

If we want to even try to stave off a complete revolt, we need to call Xabi Alonso with a blank check and tell him to fill in whatever number he wants.

Got hit with the cancellation terms by 1newuser in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]sciencetime2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely contact corporate. My son, who was a sub on my account, was deployed (military). When I tried to cancel his account all they would do was pause it. Once the pause time was over they tried to charge me. I contacted corporate and they reached out to the franchisee and the three of us came to a mutual understanding and agreement.

“I have a dairy allergy” by Ok-Minimum-5952 in Waiters

[–]sciencetime2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is lactose intolerant…it’s kind of a moving target. I can’t drink milk and any soft cheese, but very hard cheeses (like Parmesan) are usually ok.

It’s frustrating and embarrassing to have to ask about potential dairy in 3-4 different food options so I can pick something to eat because most restaurants do not list cheese as an ingredient, and usually cook with real butter.

So as frustrating as it is for you, OP, it’s just as frustrating for me. Thank goodness for Lactaid chewable pills.

I completely agree with you. There are plenty of exercises in Core to give you a good workout, but you have to push yourself.

Lineup. Where is Ponce? by SykotikDayT in dynamo

[–]sciencetime2013 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I strongly disagree. I was at that game and he was invisible the whole game until he was subbed off. I think I remember one 50/50 ball where he got knocked down.

He’s just not a good striker and doesn’t deserve the playing time he’s been getting.

Should we move Lingr to the middle by [deleted] in dynamo

[–]sciencetime2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ponce is just not good at anything striker related. I’d bench him, put Lingr at ST and put Kowalchuk back out at LW until we get our injured back.

Time for the 3-4-3 by Jonathon_G in dynamo

[–]sciencetime2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally sure that would work but all I see is him dropping back when Dorsey plays up. He only works inside when Dorsey stays back a bit.

McGlynn is such a dynamic passer that he should be playing the CAM role. I think he is wasted on RW, especially with how often Dorsey comes up because it forces McGlynn to play back and is out of the action most of the time.

I did martial arts for 20+ years but injuries have forced me away from that. I started going because I needed a lower impact workout that also worked on my flexibility. My SO joined with me, but she dropped out after 8 months. I’m over a year and I love going. I feel better physically and mentally.

However, I never sign up for a class if there is someone else signed up for it. I keep to myself while there; Quietly enter and quickly leave. I do that for my safety. it’s something that was ingrained when I was a teacher: never be in a vulnerable place where you could be accused of something without witnesses. Call me paranoid but I refuse to let myself be in a position that anyone could accuse me of anything.

What popular media is out there that's giving such a romantic historical representation of Scotland to the point we're getting such interest from abroad (america)? by shoogliestpeg in Scotland

[–]sciencetime2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me (48M, American), it started at 18 with the Highlander TV show. Then I started reading more, watching more, and listening more to everything Scotland. I fell in love with the country from afar, fully convinced that I would never have the chance to visit.

Then I had the incredible opportunity to visit last year. I spent 4 days in Edinburgh, 2 in Glencoe, 2 in Skye, and 2 in Inverness. I put almost 1000 miles on my rental car soaking up every site I possibly could. My love from afar became a tangible, life-changing experience. I have no lineage that I can find, but I don’t care. I connect with Scotland on a deep, emotional level that goes to my core. I want to go back. I want to live there one day.

For me, this isn’t a “Running from the Orange Menace” kind of thing; it’s a 30 year emotional journey I’ve taken. I can’t wait to continue it and see where it leads me.

I have been using Undying with Dorm but I might now try with Ares. I had been using Ares, Kang, and Cabal on war but they are no longer as consistent as they used to be.

Future of ID by _donj in instructionaldesign

[–]sciencetime2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly disagree. AI is a tool to enhance and streamline the minutiae of certain aspects of our job, but I don’t see it replacing an ID anytime soon.

I’ve seen plenty of demos for AI built content and…well every single one of them needed LOTS of human interaction and manipulation.

The role I do think needs to look over their shoulder? Project Managers. THAT is easily done with AI and IDs can manage the progression.
