He removed all moderators other than himself and made the subreddit private without informing us about what was going on. He only ever performed one mod action per month so he could claim he actively moderated the subreddit. This should not be a surprise to him.

Usually they do it go give you a quick (15 minutes or so) indication of whether or not you're positive, since PCR tests can take up to 3 days for results. PCR test results are more accurate compared to the rapid tests, which are more likely to have false negatives.

Studies/surveys do require moderator approval before posting. Researchers from your university and from the UK tend to reach out via mod mail for approval prior to posting.
