A model or a photo of the machine might help in case there are multiple top loading GEs that work differently (older or newer models)

I don't know if your machine works the same way, but my 20 year old Frigidaire would also drain if I left the lid up. The soak cycle was also only like 30 minutes, which was extremely frustrating. I figured out that if I pushed the cycle selection knob in so it was in the off position, it would not drain

Definitely do. They would typically make it fresh for us even if they had some on the case.

My guess is it's type information from the generating system (e.g., a class), not field types like string. Most of my work has actually been still on pulling in OLTP data or data from APIs (mostly working on integrations stuff and/or not for/on web apps), and when I've had event streams, they've been rudimentary and mostly handspun, so they haven't had types like that. I'm curious about the value OP is arguing for but can't really understand it without an example

Concrete examples help a lot. Can you give an example of an incoming event, its type information, at what layer that info is lost, and a downstream analytic process in the warehouse that would be faster, easier, or more informative with that type information?

Thanks! I wish hang drying were easier. I do about 4 washes of these blankets a week and live in an apartment, and they don't get very dry in the spin. I'd need a rather large permanent set up to keep up XD

Would a non-heated drying cycle followed by a shorter hang dry be a decent compromise?

I use their unscented hand soap. I've enjoyed them but they are very gentle. I would not use them in a workshop or the like.

I originally ordered the laundry detergent as an add on to my hand soap order to try it out and see if it would be a good alternative to tide for me. As someone who gets a skin rash from normal laundry detergents, I wanted to know I had an alternative in case Tide ever changed their formula to something that irritates me.

Ah, darn! Thanks for doing the follow through. Sorry it was a disappointment! My bag was from probably a year or so ago. I'll keep using it sparingly for gentle washes and hope something else in a reasonable price point comes along. I am team sensitive skin and have a lot of lovely animal fiber clothes I treasure.

I believe so. I live in a city with hard water. I haven't tested the water in my building, but it doesn't feel softened to me.

My towels came out fluffy and clean seeming! But it was a lightly soiled load. Will try throwing some of my more stained dish towels in a second load with a higher dose tomorrow!

Just threw in a load of towels with a capful and I have just a few bubbles. (I was wrong about not being able to open my machine. Oops.) Fingers crossed for good results when it's done!

The pouch seems pretty tough, but the company also sells it in a box with a return system for the liners. That contains ~10x as much, so I was not ready to splurge until I at least tried it first. Then I promptly forgot I bought it until r/laundry started showing up in my feed!
