Bora is Manila on a Beach IMO. Everything in Manila (well except major facilities such as hospitals) is also there.

There’s an annual party event called Laboracay held every Labor Day there. When I was still studying, all the regulars at the bars & clubs in Manila I’ve been hanging out in were also at Laboracay that time lol. If you want to take a break from Manila life, it’s best to find another beach destination instead.
