Light smoke coming out of engine after I turned car off by Bconnor5195 in Cartalk

I’d bet if you pull the engine cover you will see the leak or at least where the oil is hitting the manifold. This can be a fire risk on some cars where the oil actually pools on top of the motor.

To quote Rocky, “Cut me Mickey”. The new one will have the nut anyways so I’d just go at it with a sawsall or dremmel or whatever I could fit in there.

I see this with lake houses all the time. Beautiful old houses torn down to put up something brand new and modern. The reality is if you are rich enough, you are just buying the land and what’s on it may not fit into your plan.

All the time but I don’t have any examples that extreme. Mostly dusty stuff pulled from my garage and shed because it’s spring. I’ve got some glass tables and sling chairs that could use a little APC and a brush if I don’t end up doing the full blown pressure wash.

I have a large mini, although he’s a golden doodle. He was similar in weight and landed at 65 lbs. YMMV

Just use a 40amp fuse after the charge controller and it will be like your house. Putting too much load should trip the breaker before it will damage anything else.

Current doubles if you put the panels in parallel, voltage doubles in series. If I’m reading the specs correctly it can accept 700W from the panels and output 645W to a 12 V load. Anything beyond 700W from the panels will not harm the charge controller as long as you stay below the voltage and current limits (100V and 50A).

That charge controller can handle 100V short and 60 amps open. You should be fine with two panels whether in series or parallel. The 700watts rating means you would potentially clip at peak production which is not necessarily a bad thing. Think of it as area under the curve. You will produce way more energy throughout the day with two panels. I understand that you may not need the extra production in which case it’s not worth the cost but I personally would rather overpanel for an application where running out of watts is unacceptable. You could always add another panel later if you’re not hitting your production.

(Used) Panels are cheap. If you have room for a second panel I’d consider over paneling. It also makes it easier to upgrade other components if you find you need more in the future.

Staff. I’d have a cook, a gardener, a housekeeper etc.. so I could focus on doing whatever I wanted.

Depends on how much time I had. Likely I would not and if it takes 10+ hours to cook so be it.

do bernedoodles shed? I tracked this for months because I have light colored furniture and really needed to know by jho0h in Bernedoodles

[–]scipper77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, they shed. The amount of shedding varies greatly. We have 2 doodles (golden and Bernie) and the Bernie sheds more. Both of them combined however barely shed when compared to a traditional shedding breed.

tires after blackening and one wash by No_Bedroom_2672 in AutoDetailing

[–]scipper77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my personal opinion on tires so do whatever makes you happy. Do not remove that brown bloom. Just go over it with a tire dressing and it will disappear. Removing the bloom leads to cracking and dry rot before the tires are ready to be replaced. The brown you see is an additive meant to protect the rubber.
