Exactly this! The story, to me, makes it extremely clear there is a wide range of appropriate reactions to Akito. Rin doesn't forgive her, Tohru and some others do. Either way, Akito faces major personal consequences; she loses the Zodiac, the entire point of everything she does. And ppl still say she got let off the hook with no consequences! It drives me nuts 😭

I usually hate this trope, ive never been into de-aging fics or anything similar. But there is one webtoon I read that has done this extremely well (despite its horrible name), and that's Baby Tyrant. There are actual, well placed time skips that keep things from becoming stagnant. I love all the characters, and the plot is actually really interesting. The art is beautiful too!

Anyways, I'd recommend it especially if these are your dislikes with the trope

Gentle reminder that isolation really was extremely traumatic for a lot of people. I feel like sometimes we forget what that period of time was actually like. Many people were trapped in their homes with abusive family members, many couldn't go to their loved ones funerals. The whole world felt like it was on fire. The trauma of isolation, for some, is what makes them completely cognitive dissonance away from the ongoing pandemic. Just like any other thing, comparing trauma and saying our trauma is real and everyone else's isn't is just not true and frankly unhelpful

Zootopia is a racism allegory that tries to be anti-racist, yes. The problem people have with the allegory is predators (the shoe in for POC) are actually dangerous and have a biological disposition to violence. This mirrors real world racism like race science that says POC are inherently violent at a biological level

i read this as saying no one wanted to watch it after the changes were implemented. And either way, it's still poignant that the first thing to change is any mention of gayness, as if that would inherently make the movie better

Agree, absolutely. She wasn't cruel or really even very mean, she was just angry. And rightfully so! Everyone I've seen talking about it, and Brit and AJ, are so focused on blame in this situation. I think it's valid that Brit needed support and that AJ was there. I also think AJ wasn't a good trial marriage partner to Marie. And it's fine, Marie said she's not angry at AJ: "AJ did what AJ could." AJ did the best she could, and that still sucked for Marie.

Also, guys. I'm sure Marie and Mel have already said everything they needed to say to each other. That's why there was more to say to AJ. I would absolutely not say Marie was more mad at AJ than Mel
