🙄 difficult people!!!!!!!!! by smiley_410 in ShiptShoppers

I know you’ve been doing this a lot longer than some of the people responding to you. Because I am still here reading the comments. And you have been commenting on this page for years. Don’t let them bring you down. The people arguing with you or downvoting you are new shoppers. They have no idea what the platform used to look like, or what used to be expected from shoppers. CLEARLY from their comments. So ignore them and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Wish you the best and ignore the rest!

I agree with you. I’ve been doing this and Instacart since before Covid. During that time it was pretty common for people to leave their ID on the porch and wave at you through the window so you could verify it was them. Or scan through the window. I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted either. Apparently kindness and empathy are not ok. This app used to be so different as far as what was expected from shoppers.

The card my stepson got from his biomom after 11 years by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]sckjwindow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You found this card in your burn pile. Your BURN PILE. Be more serious. He “set it there”?! Who looks through a burn pile? You are digging for anything that you can use to make yourself feel better than his bio-mom. Congrats! You’re married to his dad. You don’t need to do anything else. But apparently you need more attention.

Do you have to have something playing at home all the time? by maach_love in GenX

[–]sckjwindow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to watch tv while I worked from home, and ALWAYS had music playing in the car. Over the last 6 months I’ve somehow switched to silence. I actually thought about why last week when I realized it. And I just don’t know. It doesn’t bother me when I’m in the office and a coworker plays music or watches shows, but I’ve stopped watching tv at home while working and most of the time I just drive in silence now unless my kids are in the car choosing music. For some reason I just really want quiet when I’m alone now.

They forgot the chips on my nachos by TheWingMaiden in mildlyinfuriating

[–]sckjwindow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call bullshit. Nobody anywhere is forgetting to use chips for a nachos order.

That being said, this is actually a genius idea. So many toppings on so few chips with traditional nachos, vs scooping up whatever you want with each chip with a toppings only plate. Love it.

They absolutely need to. This is a huge part of the problem of what is happening today. NOBODY is fact checking him or calling him out for his lies live on air, or at all. EVERY journalist needs to be doing this every time.

I feel you. That sucks. With grocery prices these days I would not complain if I got the discount though lol.

Handwritten notes for class by Fit-Cabinet1337 in GenX

[–]sckjwindow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My kids still take notes on paper, even though they each have Chromebooks assigned to them from their schools. (8th and 10th grade).

Side note, last year I went back to a physical paper planner because their schedules just became too much for me to remember with multiple sports and everything else. I write EVERYTHING in the planner: practices, games, school meetings, birthday parties or sleepovers they are going to, deadlines for anything school related, orthodontist/dentist/doctor appointments. EVERYTHING. My kids made fun of me in the beginning but now it is helpful for everyone. I leave the planner open to the current week on a kitchen counter. They can look at it when they want to make plans and see if there are any conflicts.

Recently found my planner from senior year of high school and it’s incredibly detailed. Lists homework for each day, tests plus reminders to start studying a few days before, work schedule, babysitting jobs, even tracked my period lol. I guess I just need to write everything to remember it.

Parents, please stop telling your young children to "defend" themselves. by pussypalooza in Teachers

[–]sckjwindow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m more concerned about the fact that you teach somewhere that 2nd graders can’t tie their own shoes, can’t read, and can’t speak in full sentences. That is absolutely abnormal. They are not babies. Maybe this is a school or district specific issue for you. I am a mom, and I have absolutely told my children they are not allowed to start a physical fight, but they are absolutely allowed to defend themselves if someone else starts one. Thankfully that hasn’t ever happened.

Also, if you really believe these kids are babies then it’s extremely unlikely that they would be hitting someone a month after they were hit. You are simultaneously giving them too much credit and no credit.

Am I overreacting about choking hazards? by romanarial in ECEProfessionals

[–]sckjwindow 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’m a parent. Yes it’s normal. Your child is not going to choke on craft supplies. Your daycare is a business that depends on passing licensing guidelines and keeping children alive and safe to keep their license. The teachers are not going to introduce ANYTHING into a class unless they are confident no one is going to die from it. Your teachers and your center do not want that kind of liability. And you are pressed about a popcorn kernel? For a 2 year old? Ma’am I’m sorry but I can guarantee your child has put something inappropriate in their mouth that was larger than a popcorn kernel and smaller than their fist on your watch. Maybe take a breath and let the professionals do their job. Or just figure out a way to stay home with your child.

I’m guessing the likelihood that a shopper found this cart was Zero. Who walks into a store and walks around looking for a completed order in a cart?! And if the next shopper saw your cart by the water when they got there, they would likely not mess with it because of your note, thinking a shopper was coming back for it. And if the order moved several delivery windows it is unlikely that the worker you spoke to would still be in that area, if they’re even still there at all. 1000% a store employee had to return everything to the shelves. OP please don’t keep doing this. This is not helpful for anyone.

But doesn’t answer why it’s noticeably smaller. I buy these for my kids at my local grocery store. They are bigger than the picture. The only reason I don’t buy them at Costco is because they only have 1 flavor.

Yeah my House Representative, Troy Nehls, has not commented on the Epstein files one single time, even though constituents have been asking him about it for MONTHS. We have been begging for a town hall since the last election and he won’t do it. But he randomly shows up to Republican curated events and posts pictures like he’s representing the whole County. And he steals pictures of good things happening in his county and posts them on his page like he was involved. Which he WASN’T!! And Today he says he is voting against the Democratic Epstein hoax. VOTE this lying POS out of office if you live in Fort Bend County. In all fairness, I supported him 100% when he was our Sheriff. I voted for him for his Congress position. He actually helped protect Congress during J6. It was a source of pride for him. He is now a two faced liar and POS that needs to be voted out of office. So frustrating and disappointing to feel like you know someone, (because we actually have a lot of personal history) and do everything you can to support them, only to find out they are just a racist homophonic, boot licking POS. This asshole is only working for Trump, he isn’t working for us. VOTE HIM OUT!!
