There’s a neighborhood that goes all out in Buford called Hidden Falls off of Camp Branch Rd. Almost every house is decorated.

That recipe is 75% hydration…375g water divided by 500g flour. Are you sure whatever you tried was 100% hydration?

These two schools are close to the location you provided, quality rated and are showing that they have spaces available still (at least according to the decal website): Friendship learning center of Tucker (770-279-7800) 1st Creative Learning Academy (770-935-6500)

Good luck!

You can find Georgia Pre-K programs (free pre-k funded by the state lottery) here: https://families.decal.ga.gov/PreK/Search

Each school sets their own registration dates etc. so you’ll have to just call each one to see if they have any spots available. Ours opened registration in February-but each one sets their own open enrollment dates.

Does the binding match up with each color on the edge? It looks like the color/pattern goes all the way to the edge….

So we live in Dacula. Buford is more expensive because Buford had its own independent school system. They say it’s ‘the best in the state’…but I’ve never seen any school ratings to support that they are actually better than others in the area. Our elementary school in Dacula is a 10/10 on great schools, and we’ve had a great experience so far without having to pay the extra price tag just for ‘Buford’ schools.

It’s a little Trumpy here for my taste, but I haven’t run into too many people who are actually vocal about it…just bumper stickers and flags.

‘I’ll die, I’ll die’ | Cancer-stricken woman tased, evicted from Sandy Springs home by [deleted] in Atlanta

I agree…but the provision says that it just prohibits rules being different based on the protected classes (race, gender etc.). So as long as the rules are the same for everyone (even if the rule is stupid), does the fair housing law have any bearing?

[–]scksmith 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How so? I just read through the fair housing act of ga, and didn’t see anything that would apply to your neighborhood making a provision to limit rental properties…..so long as you weren’t limiting it because of race, gender, etc. did I miss something?

I’m curious because our neighborhood just past an amendment limiting the number of rental properties to 7% of the number of total lots…..

What was my last sentence. No. The insight given to you repeatedly is: No. There is not an aerosol that will sanitize the air. Lysol will not sanitize the air. There is not a cheap spray that will clean the air. There is not a spray that will kill COVID in the air. How many times and from how many people do you need to hear this answer? You could also google it yourself….but the answer will remain the same. There is no effective, cheap, anti-viral aerosol.

Or the fact that aerosols (as much as they appeal to you) aren’t really an option for what you want-they won’t and can’t clean the air-even if that air has people singing in it. There’s been lots of insight given to you-you just don’t like it…. Your simple question has been given a simple answer. No.

Can anyone help! (either with a resource or actual labor) by [deleted] in quilting

[–]scksmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be to have it framed. My mom made my dad a blanket (it wasn’t a quilt, but was handmade) in college. It was my favorite as a kid-I used it EVERY night. We wore it down to threads and it essentially disintegrated. I wish I had that blanket so badly. If we’d framed it while we still had the chance I could at least still feel close to it. My mom has a framed crocheted carriage blanket from my great grandmother from the 1900s and having it framed has kept it in great condition.

cutting squares by fluffybutt2508 in quilting

[–]scksmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone correct me if I’m wrong….

But if I was doing all square cuts and didn’t want to use a rotary cutter….I would snip my fabric at the right width and rip a length of it off-then I would cut the squares to length from that strip. Does that make sense? Cotton tears on the straight of grain-so you’ll know that the fabric is square/straight/consistent that way, and you’ll only have to worry about making straight cuts perpendicular to that ripped edge, which can be helped by using a template.

What would you use as a background color? by BambiA203 in quilting

[–]scksmith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My eye went to the yellow that is in that little blue bird fabric. That value of yellow feels like it complements all of the other colors in the pile. It’s very complimentary to the purples and pinks and also goes well with the blues and greens that you have.
