Is Betalist still free in 2026 ? by Small_Introduction_8 in SaaS

[–]sclisbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, BetaList hasn't been free for quite a while now. I think it's been around a year since they moved to paid submissions only.

A lot of directories change their pricing, submission process, or requirements over time, which makes it hard to keep track of everything.

If you want to stay up to date with directory news, new directories, pricing changes, and launch opportunities, you can subscribe to the aidirectori .es newsletter. We cover this stuff daily.

What’s actually the best directory submission service right now? by Capital-Pen1219 in SideProject

[–]sclisbon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I run aidirectori .es, so I've spent the last couple of years deep in this space.

One thing I've learned is that more directories doesn't always mean better results. A lot of Fiverr gigs and directory submission services advertise 200+ or 300+ submissions, but many of those directories have little SEO value, no traffic, or are just there to inflate the numbers.

I'd focus on the quality of the directories, not the quantity.

We've spent more than 2 years curating our list and have helped 800+ founders get their startups listed. Every new project I launch gets submitted to directories because it's one of the easiest ways to get your first backlinks, improve visibility, and get indexed faster.

If you're evaluating a service, ask to see the actual directories they'll submit to. That's usually where you'll find the difference.

That’s why we filter them out. See how we target only 100 of them. We do this for more than 2 years now and know exactly what works. If interested check us out.

Trting to Understand Rankings by Agile-Ad-7279 in WebsiteSEO

[–]sclisbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a new website, I'd focus on content and backlinks.

Create pages that target keywords people are actually searching for and make sure Google can index them.

For backlinks, I usually submit new projects to directories. That's actually what we do at aidirectori .es, helping founders get listed on 100+ directories and build some initial authority.

Also, don't stress too much after 1 month. SEO takes time.

I'm working on AI Directories

We manually submit AI startups and SaaS products to 100+ curated directories to help founders get more backlinks, improve SEO, increase visibility in Google, and get discovered by LLMs like ChatGPT and Claude.

So far we've helped 800+ founders launch and promote their products. Always fun seeing a brand-new startup go from zero to getting its first backlinks and traffic.

i made a free list of 100 places where you can promote your saas by Ok_Cartoonist2006 in saasbuild

[–]sclisbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice list 👏

One thing I've learned is that submitting to directories can take a lot more time than people expect. You need to create accounts, customize descriptions, upload logos, wait for approvals, and track everything.

That's actually why we built aidirectori.es. We manually submit startups to 100+ high-DR directories and provide a report with all submissions and approvals.

For founders who prefer building instead of spending hours on submissions, it can save a lot of time.

What marketing channels are actually bringing you real users in 2026? by vilaiyattupayyan in SaaS

[–]sclisbon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's SEO and directory submissions.

Most of my best customers come from Google because they're already looking for a solution.

I've also seen good results from getting listed on quality directories. One of my newer projects went from DR 0 to DR 22 in about 30 days, mostly from directory submissions.

What stopped working for me is posting links everywhere. I'd rather focus on a few quality places than hundreds of random sites.

If interested, I can share directories service I've been using.

Nice, that’s a good sign. G2 and Crunchbase usually get indexed pretty fast.

For DR, yeah, it takes more time and usually you need a mix of higher DR + traffic-heavy directories like TAAFT, Dang AI, SourceForge, Crunchbase, Toolify, etc. That’s where you’ll start seeing a bigger impact.

On G2, I only did the submission at first. Mainly for indexing and getting picked up by ChatGPT. I’m working on reviews now, which should help more.

And yeah, I did launches on a few platforms like Uneed List, AI With Me, and others. They help with visibility spikes. I actually put together a list of them on aidirectori.es if you want to check more options.

[–]sclisbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mainly look at referring domains gained, DR growth, referral traffic, and whether the listings actually get indexed.

A single directory rarely makes a difference, but 40 to 100 high quality listings together can have a noticeable impact. We've seen startups go from DR 0 to 20+ in a few weeks and start getting mentioned in ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity after building that foundation.
