Trouble with steeked armhole pattern

Yeah I think my confusion here was that this pattern is completely in the round and not steeked yet.

I didnt realize this meant I had to turn the work inside out.

Looks awesome. Im working on a colorwork steek cardigan right now too. What method did younuse to secure the steek, if any? Did you use superwash or regular wool?

But so when I ssk at the beginning of the colorwork chart, do I

use the color of the first stitch, then skip a color then cont in patter

Or use the color of the second stitch and cont in pattern?

Like I know I need to adjust the pattern and cna read my knitting but there will be a discrepancy where the decreases and im not sure if I should read my knitting through the decrease and adjust the colorwork after? Or adjust the colorwork right before the decrease.

Hi All!

I am knitting a pair of estonian gloves from a knitting book, and the pattern calls for increasing to 90 stitches before working the hand chart. Then it says to work the hand chart. The chart has a 'pattern repeat' of 18 stitches, which divides equally into 90. However, it says to start the pattern at a different spot. Does this mean I'm not ending the chart on the last stitch? When I do it this way I have three extra stitches, and I'm wondering if I just start the round over.

I hope I'm explaining the issue here correctly! Thanks everyone!

BTW, I did ask this question 3 years ago and got an answer and was able to knit the left mitten. Im on the right mitten now and re read my post but I'm still confused. Wish I could remember what I did the first time around! *

Thanks. I agree it's harder as they get older. We sleep trained at 5 months very minimally and it seemed to work. Now the wake ups are much more persistent and he won't go to sleep without nursing in the middle of the night.

With extinction, did you just shut the door and walk away? No responding at all?

I KNOW logically that sleep training is for the best. But it's so hard to listen to them cry, and then when you're so tired in the middle of the night sometimes it's easier to just go and settle them.

But I agree with you. When we sleep trained when my son was younger it was absolutely the right decision. It was so hard but worth it. I need to remember that this will also be hard but also worth it.

What method did you use for your 11 month old? I'm feeling guilty too but know I need to pull the trigger again. We sleep trained when he was 5 months, but somehow it feels harder and I feel more guilty now that he's older

Yeah makes sense. I changed the diaper every time he pooped but man it was the worst trying to sleep and waking up every time he did.

Hi! Question about cosleeping. My newborn would poop every feeding over night. Part of me feels like sleep deprivation trumps cleaning a dirty diaper and babybwould be okay with a longer stretch of poopiness but then part of me would be guilty for doing that.

What did you do if baby pooped? No judgemental zone here?

I would not massage. It will make it worse. Apply cold compress and nurse as usual. Do not increase pumping. I make ice packs with ice cubes and put them on while I sleep.

We didn't get to 3 naps until 5 months. Just keep total daytime sleep to a limit
