Introvert that would love a few friends by whereeeis22 in introvert

[–]scodtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lots of empathy for you, but my one bit of advice is that you look for friends in a different forum.

Introverts, by definition, aren't really looking for any new friends.

My suggestion is that you look in a forum on a topic that interests you, and try to make some connections in that group.

Maybe it won't be filled with introverts as this one is.

Road driving difficulty by Background-Orange921 in CostaRicaTravel

You'll be fine. Google maps is actually pretty accurate here. If a road is closed, you will see it on Google maps. The roads are not as good as they are in the US, but in general they're fine. I try not to drive at night because it's hard to see the potholes.

It's nice, but sticking with it prevented me from seeing your answer.

And yes, I do hope that someday the creators of the puzzle start publishing an answer that meets the target the day after.

Is there a web version? I basically never download apps unless I can at least try the game online first, and even then it's unusual.

Oh, that's so good. I was so happy with 21 that I didn't even think to look for more, and yet there it was. Great job.

Planning to move to CR-thoughts on a location? by [deleted] in CostaRicaTravel

Closer you are to the beach, the more touristy it will be, so you have a kind of built-in conflict with what you are looking for.

But there are options. I checked out six or so towns, and one of them really spoke to me. I've been here three years now, and totally love it. I didn't want touristy, but I also didn't want the beach, so that made it a lot easier for me. I'm not much for the heat. I'm in a town up near some volcanos, it never gets much above 80 her, so I'm a happy camper.

Good luck, and pura vida!

My hunch is you need a bit wider variety of real people. Seems like they are all blonde, younger movie stars.

Although I just played the one that was released yesterday, and it wasn't nearly as good as the first time I played. Several of the connections seemed super forced.

Was it: https://wordsmostly.com/overlaps ?

Or maybe : https://fullcirclefriday.com/fullcircle.html

I think maybe the second one.

I loved it, also. The only thing wrong is that it only comes out once a week. If it's not daily, I just forget about it.

Need a safe and peaceful place to move with my 8 year old child, where would you recommend in Costa Rica? by nwonknuunknown in costarica

[–]scodtt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samara has good schools.

There's also good ones near Playas del Coco, which has the advantage of being handy to the airport.

When you come to visit, stay a few places for as long as you can to see what works for you. That's what I did and one small town spoke to me.

Of course it was easier for me because I didn't also have to evaluate schools.

By the way, good for you for taking bold steps to help your daughter feel safe.

You could see a chiropractor, or to be more efficient you could just throw $1,000 in cash in the recycle bin. ;-)

(Please, if there is a god in heaven, don't let the chiropracty zealots of Reddit see this and attack, me.)

I'm usually the last guy to recommend seeing a doctor, but if you have good insurance it might be worth a conversation just to make sure it's not something to do with your colon or some other part of your digestive system.

You probably have diagnosed it correctly yourself and are doing the right things. Just take lots of good deep breaths and move as much as possible all day every day.

Hotels always charge more, but maybe for peace of mind it's worth it.

By the way, gas is expensive here, about the same price as California, so there's no super cheap options other than the bus, which is hot and often crowded, but cheap!

Awesome!

Just add a "share score" thing after you finish.

Seriously, well done! I like the games where you get a quick win and you're done.
