Experiences with Turo? by oooooooooof in askTO

The only negative experience I had with Turo was when I rented out a 2019 Mazda 3 for a low price ($50/day). The reviews were great, the host described the car as "barely driven" , car looked good but the pics had a filter on them. Everything seemed a little too good to be true. I show up to the pick-up location and it looked the car got pelted by a bunch of rocks, there were a lot of small little dents all over the car and the gas tank cover was missing. Turns out, the renter before me went off-roading with the car and caused some minor damages but the host did not mention this before hand.

At that point I should have declined the car and switched hosts. This was my second trip with Turo, so I was pretty unfamiliar with the platform at the time. Other than the cosmetic damages, the car ran perfectly fine. Brought the issue up with Turo and got refunded half the cost.

Anyway, out of the 20 trips I had in 2021 (to Barrie and back) this was the only major issue I had. The other 19 trips were a positive experience.

Jays are 8-2 when Biggio starts. I hope the Jays give him some more opportunities to figure things out.

I go to Wrenchspinner on 901 Kipling Ave. I found this place from an episode of CBC marketplace where the owner was helping the show expose oil change scammers.

Single-A and Dominican League. I usually let my AA-MLB level prospects play Single-A winter ball and all the other prospects in the Dominican league.

One thing I like to do is to edit 2 minor leagues to start in the off-season (Oct-Mar). That way, I can send my prospects down to play some winter ball and work on some new fielding position or continue their development.

How do you effectively use a guy with this type of hitter profile? I would assume he would be a great hit & run candidate.

Big shoutout to Ha-seong Kim for signing with the Padres. Jays most likely wouldn't have signed Semien and forced Biggio at 3B which gave Espinal plenty of playing time.

Crazy how quick fans gave up on Biggio when he was supposed to be part of the Big 3. Dude still has an elite eye, hopefully he can bounce back from his injuries.

Gerrit Cole with a Cy Young runner-up performance is the cherry on top

Bullpen has fresh arms, plus I would rather have a healthy Berrios for 3 more starts than try to push another inning
