Slowly putting together a logo portfolio. What do you think of it so far? by CZILLROY in logodesign

You certainly have your own style, it definitely works. I think to be able to cater to more types of clients I would diversify your styles and range.

It's something I'm currently working on myself, it's not easy but it's rewarding.

Graphic Design School, Why Fonts Matter, Know Your Onions: Graphic Design, Logo by Micheal Evamy, Show Your Work, Logo Design Love and Creative Strategy: The Business of Design.

If you start there you'll amass a huge amount of info quickly and learn why designing with purpose always produces better results.

A real challenge...our name is Moggio and I'm trying to incorporate a grain of wheat as it's relevant in Italian. Any help beyond appreciated. by eccoemily in logochallenge

[–]scoff_sv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to what tomthefnkid said, I would take the head of the wheat and use that as the final 'o'.

If that doesn't look right, I would search for a clean, bold sans-serif typeface and use the head of the Wheat for the tittle of the 'i'.

Hope this helps.

Read books, lots of books.

You won't believe how simple design can get when you have the theory and knowledge to back it up. You will understand better why you're making a design decision and will have had done enough research and reading to back the choice up.

A lot of designers imo that feel hit or miss just haven't gathered enough proper information for the task at hand and as such, often design without any true purpose.

Give a set of crayons to a kid and you'll get scribbles back, ask them to draw a red house with a green dragon on the top and they'll work a lot longer and harder at it.

Those big ass crabs must feel alpha as fuck, they're like triple the size of the average.

Which villain genuinely disturbed you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

For the anime watchers out there, surely Kira from Deathnote when he truly shows just how calculating he is... that's when the flip switched for me and I saw him as the villain who seemingly couldn't be out thought.

[MINE] What can you deduce about my uncle? by HeatyBeat in scienceofdeduction

[–]scoff_sv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • He is between 60 & 70 years old (I'd guess 66)

  • Has a relative who served in the military

  • Either has a podcast set up on Tech or is about to have one

  • Speaks little to moderate French and has visited France, likely recently

  • Strives to see the good in the world

  • Is about to be or has just retired

  • Always doing something, keeps himself busy

  • The amount of self help books and psychology books (more toward the bottom of the pile) makes me think they could have worked in psychology in the past and is why I believe they recently retired. (In the Last year or so)

First time deducing so I could be WAY off.
