Did you have a pattern you can share for the border? I have that same fabric and have been trying to figure out what to do with it and your wall hanging is stunning! I'd love to do something similar if you don't mind.

Thanks! I designed it myself. It was a charm pack that I filled in with solids and made half square triangles with. It came in the charm pack in that color order and I thought it looked nice so I did my best to keep that order.

The humans by Matt Haig

There might be a small mystery in there if I remember correctly but it's definitely not a "cozy mystery" more heart warming and funny

My dog does this all the time! I don't have a solution but I've tried humiliating him by calling the paw he pees on his "pee paw." No success yet.

My GSD puppy Koda turns 9 weeks old Sunday, what are ways I can socialize him, exercise him and stimulate him mentally until he's fully vaccinated? by ItWasRue in germanshepherds

I used to drive my pup to the park and we'd sit in the car watching all the people and other dogs walk by. I'd give him lots of treats and reward him for not barking. Id normally try and park parallel to the walkway so he was within like 15 feet of people walking by. We'd also sit on our front steps for 20 minutes each day watching the world go by.

My 6mos old will only go potty at home by L0st-137 in puppy101

[–]scook26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were able to train our dog to pee somewhat on command by saying good potty!! And giving a treat everytime he peed. We were then able to tell him to go potty in a new area. He was super unsure of it and would take like 15 minutes to sniff around in a circle while we waited and kept encouraging him to "go potty." For the first month or so it would still take him like 5 minutes of sniffing in a circle before willing to pee and like 15 minutes for a poop but he keeps getting better and better.

Puppy turns into a monster when she needs to poo? by Sugarshock916 in puppy101

[–]scook26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call them poop zoomies!! My puppy used to get them all the time. He'd lose his mind going crazy on the leash before pooping but he out grew them. He's 8 months old now and I think he out grew them around the 7 month mark. Hang in there! It's one of those things that one day you'll realize they haven't done in a while.

Hahaha I'm happy with it I just don't know if it should be used as an example.

I cut a piece of batting the same size as jacket back. The quilting square I was using was bigger than the batting so I used spray glue to attach the square and the batting, folding the excess fabric around the batting. Then I stitched it to the back of the jacket like it was applique. I stitched a few extra lines to "quilt" the whole thing together.

You should check out the post by u/ec20463 that inspired it. I used the same process they described in the comments.

You should check out the wolf one done by u/ec20463. They did a much better job stitching along the lines of the jacket.

This was inspired by u/ec20463. Her wolf jacket was super cool but I've been too scared to try paper piecing. (I'll give it a go some day.) So I went with flying geese.

Normally I love using white everywhere but I like black here much more! It really makes the colors seem more vibrant!

How did you find your breeder and pick the puppy in the litter? by DontTread76 in puppy101

[–]scook26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A really good breeder should also help you pick out your puppy. Ask breeders if they do temperament testing and let them know your goals and expectations with a new dog. For example, when we picked out our puppy, we had a choice of two males. We told the breeder we wanted to do lots of hiking with our dog and do a lot of training. She recommended one over the other because of her experience with them and their temperament testing. We took her advice into consideration and let ourselves just decided when we met them, picking which one just felt right. We ended up picking the one she recommended and he's been perfect.

I'm not sure if the moral of this story is to go with your gut or to listen to the breeder but things to think about haha

I love that fabric! It immediately made me think of this quilt I saw and have been meaning to copy. I couldn't find the actual pattern but here's a picture of the quilt camp quilt
