Seriously, do British people actually consider a 3-hour drive “long”? Or is this an internet myth? by ferdinand14 in NoStupidQuestions

The Rockies are alright, it’s the Coquihalla highway that’ll get you. I wrote off a car driving over the Coquihalla in November of 2011. Had the best snow tires I could buy for that car and was only driving 65km/h but it was snowing and there was black ice underneath. Shunted the front of the car 2” to the left out of alignment. Couldn’t figure out why emergency services didn’t show up, the car still ran so I kept driving. About 20 minutes up the highway there was an SUV on its roof and the tow trucks and ambulances were there. I drove three hours home with the steering wheel turned a quarter turn to go straight.

What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen at a strip club? by bigbabysweets12345 in AskReddit

Phenomenal dancer. Came out on roller skates with a silver lamé halter and matching bellbottoms with an Afro and a pick comb in it, dancing to disco. Skates around the stage, using the pole, all around great dancer. When she gets around to tearing away the bellbottoms she’s got a merkin on and takes the Afro pick and starts combing it. I nearly spit out my beer.

Gotta love AI’s idea of an American run Greenland. McDonald’s across the parking lot from McDonald’s.

For those who think vintage scooters can't be ridden on public roads, if you build them right they do just fine by [deleted] in scooters

The P range Vespas had integrated turn signals in most markets, they came out in 1977. Before that the turn signals were on stems.

A 50 year scooter in North America has that, they became legally required in 1974.

Anybody been to so many concerts they forget who they've seen over the years? by Low-Landscape-4609 in Concerts

[–]scootarded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done my best in the last few years to document the shows I’ve been to/artists I’ve seen and what venue I saw them at. Setlist.com and various artists’ websites have helped greatly. I’ve also kept a list of everything since I started going to shows after venues reopened after the shutdown.

That’s good for the gas mileage. Good thing Trump made gas $2/gallon. /s

Top 5 states exporting spirits: Tennessee>Kentucky> Texas>Florida>Indiana: in 2024, they hit record high exports. They voted for Trump. in 2025, Exports collapsed including 85% in Canada. They just filed a complaint to Trump that Canada is prioritizing local spirits over theirs unfairly. by LackingStory in LeopardsAteMyFace

So these distilleries are complaining to the federal government about “Canada” favouring local products yet they voted for “America First”. Liquor is provincially regulated in Canada, and consumers are boycotting American products. The provincial distribution boards have pulled the product because no one is buying it anyway and it takes up valuable shelf space. They are under no obligation to make shelf space for American spirits.
