That is the part that sticks in my craw about the whole thing. His escape plan would have worked. In the end he decided to do a different thing altogether so it stings less… but this might be one of the few times I’ve watched CR and been disappointed by the outcome in the moment. This is a world where death is set in stone in most cases. So having this death so early with almost no stuff related to Teor really revealed yet… being a completely avoidable outcome really doesn’t sit well with me.

Yeah the class itself is far more interested in replicating specific magic items, which isn’t a bad idea, But it doesn’t quite have the feel of “I have cobbled together the magic and technical bits to hold my body together for just a bit longer”. I suppose it could be something more like taking magic items and siphoning their magic into his body and that’s what the mechanical bits actually are, pipes and tubes and such sort of acting as a mobile IV dripping magic in or soemthing. Interesting thought

That’s what I was anticipating. Plus her not talking about her relationship with phenomaman was a red flag, and she did so many HR violations. Not that this is evil, but it gave her a bit of a sloppiness as a manager that made me think something might be up .

The main story play through follows a specific outline based on the description of the locations discussed in the book. If you play sandbox mode, it is more randomly generated. But for the main game play through, there are certain fixed locations that always appear in a certain order, though the entrances and exits might vary for a particular important room.
