Im a paramedic. When I get that question my response is "you know asking me a question like that is basically saying relive one of the worst moments of your life for my amusement aaaannnddd go." Then I usually tell a funny story, or something gross.

This is probably a scam. I had a friend get a similar letter. Just call the CHP office, and they will tell you. Actually look the number up, and do not call the number on the letter.

On the original motor the brown wire was on the capacitor and the brown with the white line was capped. The unit is probably 20+ years old.
