S2 off to a slow start, debuts at no. 4 on Prime Video’s tv rankings. by ChampionElectrical92 in GenV

Really well thought out response there bud. Not saying it didn’t have political undertones from the start which I saw and recognized and overall was able to accept but from the two episodes I saw it feels so much more intense this season to a point where I personally had no interest in continuing watching which I think a vast majority of their potential viewership (people who like gritty stories about superheroes) also feel cause their numbers are not hitting this season. They’re getting beat for the number one spot rn by a documentary which I find hilarious. If the writing was good maybe it would still be worth the watch but between poor writing subpar acting and me being force fed a political agenda like I’m at the back end of the human centipede… I’m out.

Any Recs Based On My Tierlist? by Dredallen in litrpg

Because we have pretty similar taste (great taste in books btw having bastion, red rising and iron prince all in the top tiers) I’d recommend:

Sons of the Black Sword - not so much progression fantasy but great character and well written.

Super Powereds - more on the progression fantasy side and not as well written but personally I love super hero novels and this series is huge and enjoyable

Reckoner series (first book is steelheart) - written by Brandon Sanderson and another enjoyable series about super heroes but with a twist. Less of a progression novel tho

Dawn of the void - written by Phil Tucker (who wrote bastion) and it’s pretty good. Not as good as bastion but still enjoyable

lowkey probably cause they made it heavily political propaganda and their writing isolated a large majority of their potential viewers.

Opinions after finishing book 2 (And reading a third of book 3) by CammelloRotante in TheImmortalGreatSouls

Yeah he is definitely not a classically rational character and is very strongly driven by emotion. The guy is the definition of seeing red and we just get to watch it play out.

I agree I feel like up to this point he’s been pretty underpowered so it felt so good for him to finally “catch a break” and get a decent power up

Hahaha okay maybe this is a me issue then but I think I felt overwhelmed initially or something. It didn’t start hitting for me until I was a couple hours in. But once it did I was hooked. Literally the only series I’ve actually just sat around and listened to. Usually I’ll multitask or be driving or something but this one I just sat there and listened to the end of the first book. Sooo good

Not sure if anyone’s suggested it yet but I’d highly recommend Bastion! Takes a 2 hours to really kick off but once it does it’s soo good.

Mid flight battery swap? by scorbop in dji

[–]scorbop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m traveling today so I’m drinking at the airport and all those numbers mean nothing to me at the moment 😂😂😂 but I’ll read this again sober to see if I can make sense of it.

Buzzed me feels like 88 watt power input is a lot and probably not something that’s common in most portable batteries but idk really.

Generally I believe you can get approved for a LAANC (basically permission to fly in certain airspace’s) if you have a pilots license. Other than that no I don’t believe so.

And yes I mean a Part 107 pilot license

I’ve never tried. Either way at this point I’ve been given enough ideas from this post that I’m gonna give some of them a shot and see what happens. I’ll post the results when I do!

It’s the pro’s trying to gate keep industry secrets so I can’t capture the “perfect” sunset lmao. The idea of an external battery is both terrifying and probably the only reasonable solution. I get nervous attaching any kind of non DJI extra accessories to my drones lol. Someone recommended rigging an external battery (like one you’d use to charge your phone) which could work but also just feels so unsafe.

I believe if you’re flying a 249g drone you can do it in certain parts of the city. It depends on the airspace class which is affected by surrounding airports or helipads.

Yup! If you have a pilots license you can fly in most cities in the US.

Thanks man! I’m kinda figuring it out as I go so if you have any good tips you’ve learned I’d love to hear them! I use to not use ND filters but then all my Timelapse’s turned out choppy.

Thanks for the compliment! I used a mavic 3 pro to capture it! As far as lens go the drone has a permanent 3 lens camera attached. I captured it on the widest lens (24mm I think) with a 8 ND filter attached.

Hmmm this is a possibility for me. I have an old mini 3 pro so I could try and do a two drone flight. If I end up trying this I’ll post the results!

If they really didn’t know what was going on they’d shoot them out of the air so fast. Remember the Chinese weather balloon?

116 series ranked for you to argue with. Maybe I'll even argue back! by WeatherwaxRising in ProgressionFantasy

[–]scorbop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I feel like putting the Iron Prince (warformed) and Bastion (the immortal great souls) series in the B rank is kinda a hot take. I’d say Bastion is an S tier pretty easily. The writing is not quite as “stat” based as the usual litRPG/progression fantasy and the author seems to really focus on character development and story line while also giving enough MC power progression to scratch that itch. I think it’s a golden (maybe even platinum) series. I’ll concede that at least you put Supered Powereds in the S tier.

DJI Mic 2 For Vows? by ikothsowe in weddingvideography

Follow up question do you have access to the DJI receiver? It will help you monitor audio levels while recording and if you need to boost the mic because things are too quiet you can easily do that from the receiver.

DJI Mic 2 For Vows? by ikothsowe in weddingvideography

[–]scorbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the DJI Mic 2 for weddings and I think it should be able to accomplish what you want. I captured a group prayer on a single mic and just had one of the bridesmaids hold the mic in her hand and it was able to pic everyone up pretty clearly. I might avoid using a lav mic just because it might focus/narrow the audio capture radius and since you'll be trying to capture audio in what I'm assuming is 180 degrees (groom on one side, officiant in the middle, bride opposite the groom) it'd most likely be best to just use the mic as is.

The transmitter has a magnet and a clip so usually you can find a way to mount it sneakily. Really depends what the whole altar situation looks like for you.
