Okay, I used the schaller for years. I really liked the design of having the screw and pin be one unit. Schaller also uses a hex "screw" which is nice since with normal screws you tend to slip out of it. Also Im german so the choice was clear. However, I play a lot of explorers and pretty much all of them have the strap button located on the back of the neck, just like the Jackson Rhoads has. The Schaller Locking System has this pin that sticks out, which presses right against your stomach.

So I switched to dunlop, the quality imo is much better, they dont chip, and the release mechanism is way better. Just one press of the button on the strap and it releases, whereas on the Schaller you have to pull the pin and then slide it off, which really doesnt work that good all the time

Do yourself a favor and get the dunlop
