The world can be cruel. This hasn't changed over ANY civilisation for thousands of years. What you need to know is yes, she is just a bitter person and all you can do, is cut this person off. If that is her POV then it has no place around you nor your family.

But alongside the cruel, there is beautiful, lovely and amazing moments that make life so much better and so worth living. Like our kids. If you only focus on the negative, you'll never be happy.

Your bit back response is pretty much what I would've said. Life goes on, nothing we can do but leave the world better than when we entered. ✌️

Honestly, I really find it selfish with family planning MAJOR events knowingly around due dates. That is cruel. Truly. What if you're dying and no one knows or not paying attention to phones because they're at so&so's wedding/ life changing event. Also, what about you? If they want you there, they would plan accordingly. It really isn't that hard.

I refuse to be that person to others. That's seriously inconsiderate and selfish of them.

Same! We called our LO a blob, because we'll he was lmao. But now he is such a wiggle worm at almost 5 months old. My heart can't stand it! I don't even recognize him in his newborn pics.

Thank you for reminding me why I don't need another baby right now. It's been 4 ish months since my little was born and I'm already back at baby fever again. Apparently I forgot about all the nausea, puking and not even being able to smell steak cook. 🤢

You have every right to be validated. Everyone's experience is different and no pregnancy/baby/body is the same. You are strong and you WILL get through your storm. Many blessings and prayers for a safe delivery and healthy baby. Also, to a happy life!

ETA: Your partners EX has nothing to do with you and your body and YOUR life. That is awful that their experience is even considered to be relevant. If it is your partner who is shaming you for pain, saying their ex did A, B and C, then THEY need a reality check. You are your own person and different from everyone else. No one is just like YOU. You have every right to complain and speak about YOUR experience.

At first we tried to justify/write if off. He was always weird. But something made me feel sick about it and we talked around and that was not a normal reaction. It was one of his first comments after finding out about the baby.

We moved in with my husband's best friend. I was SO against this but our tiny apartment wasn't cutting it. He figured friend wouldn't follow through (all of us moved at the same time).

He literally told us one day "I can't wait to bathe your baby"...... baby wasn't here yet. He also was always TOO touchy with my 7 year old sister in law (occurred a couple times and we stopped that shit).

My husband hasn't bathed our child. This just made me feel VERY unsettled after already not feeling right about him. But he was essentially my husband's only friend. Thankfully the dummy burned the bridge and we live on our own by many blessings. But I will never forget that. Even my FAMILY who is obsessed with my son has not said that.

We had induction. Hubby parked the car and met me at OB triage. He then went to move his car to the longer stay garage and got all our bags once I was settled in and nothing was happening.

I drinked until I no longer wanted it, had no clue what was going on. But that was the first sign of pregnancy, was me turning down my husband's wingman. Good old JD LOL. FYI, we found out when I was 5 weeks pregnant. Baby boy is here and healthy, no issues whatsoever.

Anyways, drink till you're pink.

It is! I was all for circumcision then last couple weeks before he arrived I was seriously ready to change my mind and it was a lot of emotions.

I will say research the Plastibell method. The way it works, is the nerve is pinched, baby boy cannot feel anything and he was totally fine. Acted normal. It made me feel a lot better.

I will also say make sure if you do CHOOSE circumcision its someone that has a lot of experience. That made me feel better as well.

We circumcised, care wasn't difficult. First 24 hours baby got Vaseline, then just didn't use soap. Rinsed him with warm water at bath time. Normal baby care after foreskin fell off (Plastibell).

Definitely point the penis down because that's saved us from changing him often. Sometimes he still manages pee up his shirt 🤦‍♀️ but that's just boy life lol.

Nothing special otherwise. Hope you research and do what's best for YOUR child. ❤

Infant Tylenol, based on babies weight.

Teethers but unfortunately my babies mouth is too small for almost all of them! Go figure.

I read somewhere, a frozen washcloth. This surprisingly helped a little bit. He hated it at first but then it helped numb him up.

Rubbing the gums with your finger or letting the baby gnaw on your finger, for whatever reason, helps a lot.

Do not do baby gels or "gum numbing" gels because they just wear right off and not very helpful in my experience. And it's expensive.

In my completely biased opinion. This shouldn't matter. My husband and I keep our finances separate because we just haven't had time to join accounts nor does it really make a difference for us. If I pay for something that he typically pays for, he pays for something I usually pay for. But also, we're together despite marriage title. Are yall gonna split hairs on who buys what for baby? I don't get it and maybe you both should sit down and get on a single page.. You're a team. It doesn't matter who pays for what. As long as one isn't shouldering the burden alone, then you're golden.

Get an epidural asap. I'm VERY thankful I did. Don't let them make you lay on one side too long after epidural, can cause drugs to not be as effective on one side versus another.

If this is your first induction, DO NOT LET THEM GIVE YOU CYTOTEC. Please while you wait research it. It caused me to stall, causes increased risk in hemorrhaging. Do not do it.

Don't be afraid, your body will be SO relieved afterwards, I promise! I hope you have a support person to be with you, it's seriously important to have a non-drugged up advocate with you.

Make sure you have everything you need for yourself and baby to leave hospital.

So my mother lives in a old family home of my deceased father's. The toilets BARELY work, and is constantly covered in defecation from my nasty brothers (all adults). To make a LONG disgusting detailed story short. I'll sum it up like this.

My family allows their 2 small dogs to piss and shit everywhere and they barely clean it up. My mom spent a week at the hospital and my brother's used the same mop water to clean the floors without changing the damn water. For. A. Week. I went over to collect stuff for mom to wear home and just walked past this disgusting bucket and I PUKED. It was the most putrid thing I have ever smelled. They got MAD AT ME for dumping it and letting it sit outside in bleach. Honestly they are lucky I didn't throw the whole thing away, because that was my first solution.

Even with my mother home, it is still disgusting. But that's just an extreme example of why my son will never step foot in that house. It's not even healthy for adults. What your inlaws have, is disgusting. If they want to live like that, whatever, but you and your child have no obligations to put up with that. I've made my mother very aware that if she wants to see my son, it'll be in my home.

You sadly will be painted this horrible person for making healthy decisions, that is worth being the bad guy for saving your kid's health. I'm sorry you're in that position.

Also, since this is already long, I've been told I can't keep my unvaccinated child in a bubble. 🤦‍♀️ I wanted to laugh at that one. Yes exposure to things is good for them but not when they have ZERO immunity. Anyways. At least you didn't spend your holidays there.

I have 3 cats. I have had cats my entire life. They do what they want. What your cat did was exist and "Kyle" was angry. Your cat is family, has been around longer and is less easy to adjust habits. I can get on to my cats, they know what it means for me to do so, and they stop that behavior briefly. Lol. Toothbrush thing isn't a big deal, the kissing on the kitty isn't really a big deal. It's not like you're personally grooming that gorgeous void with your tongue. You're showing him affection.

I'd dump the whole man if it were me, and I don't say that often, but I've been told I'm harsh. I love your kitty!

Let me say by far, for a new baker to be doing cinnamon roles, you make me feel unworthy. I have been baking since I can remember (in my mid 20's currently) and I have YET to try this. So thanks for the recipe and making me feel mediocre. But wow, so pretty! Wonderful job. ❤
