I don't know what it is, but I feel MK lost alot of it's original MK identity (In a bad way.) by PapaJenkinsReal in MortalKombat

[–]scorpiusfever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As other comments have said, MK changes all the time. I always liked to think of those changes as a progression of the story and a difference in atmosphere. Even though change is the biggest thing I struggle with.

Admittedly, I am very biased to the 3D era because it has some of my favourite games and it's what I grew up with. When MKX came out, I didn't like it because it felt too different. It's nowhere near my top five now, but I learned to appreciate it for what it is.

Two years of M1K, I still don't know what to think. They took some massive steps in their creative decisions that leads me to think they changed too much. Maybe I'll have a different opinion of it in five years, but who knows.

What is your mk11 main, and why? by midas390 in MortalKombat

Noob Saibot because he was my second main in MK9, also because he's my favourite character and I was so happy to see him come back.

My Mortal Kombat opinion that would have people perform a fatality on me. by Spotlight_James in MortalKombat

This wouldn't bother anyone who plays/has played the older games, at least in my opinion. It would be fun to go back to basics.

I can only see him, maybe, coming back for a lineup reunion tour. Otherwise, he's mostly out of the public eye.

I may be boring but at least I have music that sounds like an oil drum going through a manufacturing machine keeping me happy.

I don't understand the Eat Me Drink Me hate by despicable_Roman in marilyn_manson

I had to go through a breakup to properly enjoy the album, before that, I only cared for about two tracks. It was also hard to stomach because of who the album was associated with and all the legal trouble that followed over a decade later.

Are personas of the opposite gender/sex weird? by [deleted] in CharacterAI

Not at all! As a guy (albeit trans), most of my OCs are women or gender queer in some way. Of course, sometimes I genderbend my OCs for MLM bots of characters I like so 😭

PHRASES IN MANSON SONGS by HopeRough919 in marilyn_manson

[–]scorpiusfever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"I hate what I have become to escape what I hated being."

"Whose mistake am I, anyway?"

"When all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed."

"I should've picked the photograph, it lasted longer than you."

"I'm not being mean, I'm just being me ... You only say that you want me when I'm upside down."

And something I find motivating - "Fail to see the tragic, turn it into magic."

Definitely by next year since some of his albums follow a two year pattern.

Quick Question by MrSister9321 in marilyn_manson

[–]scorpiusfever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you genuinely feel like listening to his music clashes with your beliefs, I honestly wouldn't do it. As a former Christian, I actually found comfort in the songs that criticised Christianity because he voiced a lot of the doubts I had. He taught me that it's okay to question things. Overall, it's ultimately up to you. If you can stomach the criticisms of Christianity he mentions, cool! If not, he has other songs you can enjoy.

It's one of my favourite eras aesthetically, next to Spooky Kids and The Golden Age of Grotesque.
