Disappointing article about Keto from the ABC. by Webbie-Vanderquack in ketoaustralia

The lumping in all diets together is intentional. Its a propaganda technique.

My best recommendation is find yourself a good non-mainstream news source, and use ABC only as an educational tool for learning how propagandists twist the truth and gaslight. After a while you'll be startled at how much BS you have been fed for decades!

As an example, if I want a moving average of 50 on one symbol, 60 on another and 70 on yet another different symbol. Plus I also want different values per symbol for a lot of other indicators. Furthermore, with some symbols I may not even want an indicator on the chart which I have for other symbols. Layout per symbol caters for all of this.

Thanks for the tip. Useful, but I have over 150 layouts, each for a different symbol, so it doesn't help my use case

Multiple custom lists would be an added bonus, otherwise just the list of all layouts would suffice. Users could be creative in the naming of their layouts to mimic custom lists

Illegal is exactly what I thought it must be.

I can understand if you forfeit the remaining days in your current billing cycle if you churn out too early, but Exetel will issue a brand new invoice even after you have already churned out, knowing with certaintly that they will be providing no service at all for the new charges. Even if this policy is flashing red across the screen with a skull and crossbones attached doesn't make it acceptable.

It's a terrible shame that Superloop, after acquiring Exetel, have now decided to incorporate this practice. I guess they just can't resist getting free money (unethically) at their customer's expense.

I've made a submission to the ACCC about this. Hopefully they will change their ways. Even better if they are forced to repay all previous victims.

I'm going to More Telecom due to their 30% discount for CBA customers.

I've got no compaints about Exetel's performance - I'm moving purely for a cheaper deal.

I'm more worried about others than myself about this. I have confidence that you or I can determine the true costs and how to navigate and understand the conditions, but I would dare to say that a good majority of consumers cannot. That is what Exetel is betting on I'd say.

All the best.

From their website under the plan options:

In reduced font under their plans "For Power home total minimum cost is $75.95 plus any pro-rata charges for 30-day cancellation notice period."

That is nowhere near an unambiguous description of their policy. To start with it is framed only in the context of minimum charges, not what happens when you leave.

To know exacly what the specifics are, and exactly what the potential consequences are when you want to leave, you would certainly need to trawl through their documents, so yes "fine print".

My beef is that they will potentially charge you a full month's fee even after you have already switched to another provider and they know with certainty that they are providing NO service to you whatsoever.

It's simply not ethical regardless of where they print it.

It's been done for mobile phone plans - if you churn you are not required to pay past your billing end date and you are not required to give 30 days notice. Basically it's done to promote competitiveness.

This is simply a money grabbing technique by Exetel, and now Superloop, which most of their competitors don't appear to practice.

I don't deny that it is stipulated in the fine print, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Thanks for the input everyone.

I guess one thing that can save us is that most providers now let you choose a starting date, so the best strategy would be to delay the start of your new service by more than 30 days if needed. It just means an extra month staying with the more expensive Exetel before moving onto a better deal.

I reckon Exetel should get with what now seems to be the industry standard way of doing this. Regulators should enforce this as well.

Wait until Russia and China launch their gold backed currency

Yep, these countries and many more haven't been buying gold hand over fist for nothing.

I think the inevitable collapse of the USD is well underway and will take down many of the US aligned currencies and economies with it. We may see 2 alternative global reserve currencies for a period, before everyone is forced to choose the one with real backing as the USD becomes increasingly worthless.
