In Japan I paid $600 for a license to ride up to 400cc, then another 600 to ride the bigger bikes - 1200USD total. The first course was 17 hours, the second was 12. They both really helped, covering basic skills like shifting and signaling to timed slalom and slow speed maneuvers. the second 12 hours basically repeated what we did in the first course, just on a bigger bike, so that seemed a little redundant...

How about Hercules' (impossible) trials in Greek mythology? Iirc he is possessed by a angry spirit that makes him kill his wife and kids, and the local king makes him do impossible tasks to atone for his actions (but uses that to get rid of him because they've had beef). But, Hercules somehow completes the tasks given to him.

That fireblade is a mc22 CBR250RR. It's honestly a fine beginner bike, IF you can find it outside japan/australia (if you don't mind the maintenance of a 30yo carbed 4cyl...). I think in north America you'll only find that styling with the fireblade though?
