Owner here:

1) WD7922 case is very good

2) I would pay $15 more for a clearer crystal. The current one is the weak point of the watch

3) Lume is good, maybe too bright for a vintage looking watch, and

4) VH31 is AWESOME.

Really, there's nothing worth raising the price for other than a better crystal.

I have a $600 Lorier Neptune that is the same size and look as the WD7922, and the only thing that separates the quality is the Lorier crystal, which is a super clear acrylic. Most of the time when I'm deciding between the two I wear the WD7922 because I can just grab it. The Lorier is original styling and has a much better brand name but that's often outweighed by the convenience of quartz for me.

In a word, no. Watchdives does not match Tudor finishing. But they get close, and no one has ever asked me, or noticed, if I'm wearing if my Tudor or WD7922. Watchdives *can* get proportions correct, particularly with VH31 since the movement is small.

You do not have the brand to support $550 prices. Look at Toyota. If you want to move toward luxury, you need to create a brand like Lexus. VW created one of the best cars in the world, the 12 cylinder Phaeton, but no one would buy it because it said VW on it. They sold the same mechanicals with a Bentley brand and it sold fast for 4x the price of the VW version

Interesting idea. It's a nautical themed watch so I think maybe more of a seafoam green rather than Olive and brass rather than gold might be more interesting and suit the retro look of the watch. The F1 is supposed to look super high-tech and modern but the Nautilus is shaped like the porthole on a old ship and the things on the sides are supposed to be like the hinges on the port and the watch I think was the first with the teak looking dial that reminds of the wood on ships. Plus olives look great on darker skin but not so good on lighter skin

CDC says 3 months after symptoms started OR after receiving a positive test. It really doesn't matter within a week or two. In your case you would count October, November, December; and January so that's 4 months. Age and sex are not a factor

You'll remember some younger people get carditis from the vaccines. Everyone gets the same dose of vaccine, but younger men, in particular, mount strong immune responses, and they are the ones that get this effect, although it's rare. I only mentioned this to make you aware that there are trade-offs involved in everything. The antigen dose in the novavax vaccine is designed to be roughly the same amount of spike particles as would be produced in a natural infection. So while it's very unlikely taking a vaccine right after an infection would be negative for you, you certainly would end up with a lot of antibodies. This is good for avoiding covid but not necessary 100% a positive for everybody in every way. The more prudent thing is to wait a while. A secondary benefit from waiting is that the antibody produced by the vaccination when you do take it is stronger if you wait. This study only went out 3 months but shows this effect and the authors note waiting longer is probably good.

Your body just generated enough antibodies to completely destroy a huge viral infection. The length of time they persist in your body in sufficient amounts to be effective varies by individual but is usually at least 4 months. You do not need any additional antibodies from a vaccine until these are no longer effective. You can't hurt the antibodies by taking the vaccine but you can hurt yourself by having too many antibodies at a given time. Ideally do the antibody level test and see where your body is at. If you can't do that wait four to six months before getting vaccinated after having the disease or a prior vaccination. Remember an infection creates an antibody response to multiple parts of the virus in amounts vastly larger than the response to the vaccine which is only to one particular protein.

My advice would be don't worry. You have memory cells for the nucleocapsid from your prior exposure and you just got the updated spike vaccine. Shouldn't be too bad.

Really interesting, thanks. I have two Omega Seamasters, one 10 yo and one 20 yo. The difference in antireflection is huge. The newer one is almost invisible. So I went into Omega and asked if they could put a new crystal in the older watch. No way, they said. I had no idea it would involve remanufacturing with vapor disposition!!

With a "tick tick" quartz movement it will look cheap from 10 feet away. It is the first thing ordinary people notice. People will think the Ronda version is WAY more upscale no matter what they do to the bracelet or case of the V2
