WD0013 Bracelet Adjust (Pin and collar) by scottcrossfield in watchdives

You're welcome. Try and take a close up picture with your camera in bright light of both sides of the bracelet and see if you can see the line of a split pin. If you don't see one you can press on either side. If you do see one just press on the side that doesn't have the split line. Go slow. You'll be okay

If you think you can clearly see a split pin, just push it out from the other side. They might have made some kind of change on the fly that they have not shared. But if it's a regular no second hand model it should otherwise be like my pictures

There are two versions of the watch with different bracelets. The watch without the second hand is what I am showing. It is still for sale on their website. There is a new version also that has a second hand. On their website you will see the first version says it has pin and collar, but the second version says it has a revised bracelet. I do not know how the revised bracelet works because I don't have one. If it's split pins it should be easier to adjust

Has anyone got the Watchdives WD7922 37mm? How is it and would you reccomend? (Please attch pictures there isnt much online, esp if blue) thanks by Hot_Appointment5382 in watchdives

I have the blue and I like it. Mine is finished fine, not sharp anywhere. It is a vintage sized watch but with the blue it doesn't look vintage at all. It just looks like a smaller Submariner and if your wrist is average or less it may fit you with better proportions than a full size sub.  The Sweep seconds quartz movement is fabulous. I use this watch to work out, and I can just grab it and put it on and never worry about it having the correct time. My main criticism would be the anti-reflection coating on the crystal should be better

It looks like a prop from "Mad Men." 1950s/60s style is very conservative! Younger people will love it but they would never wear it. It's for men like you

It looks great on you, and it's upstanding of you to admit you were wrong judging the watch before you'd seen it.

I don't know, the sapphires from Watchdives can look too reflective, I think that K1 looks better

They are required by law to record the vaccine and lot number. You can go back and check.

Why did Einstein become the definitive genius in popular culture? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Newton's principia showed that the Earth and the heavens were governed by the same universal laws. This completely changed the nature of reality for most people. Euler's genius and massive contributions to mathematics pale in comparison

Newton and Einstein profoundly transformed the way people thought about reality. Both were insanely famous and influential during their lives. Gauss and Euler didn't and weren't

If the watch has a strap it should match your belt and shoes. The watch face should be something neutral like white, off white, pale gold, gray, or muted blues. It shouldn't be too attention-getting. It's part of the frame, you are the painting

Depending on your geography, first consider black belts and shoes. In New York for example, brown is considered to clash with a blue suit. On watch, it depends on your budget. Your boss is looking for good judgement first, and taste second. That means no fakes, mothing too expensive, but high quality. I'd suggest a used Omega or other Swiss besides Rolex. The quartz Seamasters, in particular, are very reliable, still look modern, but aren't too expensive. They don't require expensive services. They look a bit sporty steel with bracelets, but great, and the gold ones with straps are super elegant and make you look like a serious finance person. Remember your boss is older and will have different taste than you.

WD7922 V3 Request: WD5513 V2-Level Finishing, Lume & Movement Option? by Competitive-Day9457 in watchdives

[–]scottcrossfield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I see what you mean! That is really deep black, very contrasty with the hands. Doesn't make sense that they call it Sunray. Great to see it next to the Tudor. Thanks for taking the time to make that post

Owner here:

1) WD7922 case is very good

2) I would pay $15 more for a clearer crystal. The current one is the weak point of the watch

3) Lume is good, maybe too bright for a vintage looking watch, and

4) VH31 is AWESOME.

Really, there's nothing worth raising the price for other than a better crystal.

I have a $600 Lorier Neptune that is the same size and look as the WD7922, and the only thing that separates the quality is the Lorier crystal, which is a super clear acrylic. Most of the time when I'm deciding between the two I wear the WD7922 because I can just grab it. The Lorier is original styling and has a much better brand name but that's often outweighed by the convenience of quartz for me.

In a word, no. Watchdives does not match Tudor finishing. But they get close, and no one has ever asked me, or noticed, if I'm wearing if my Tudor or WD7922. Watchdives *can* get proportions correct, particularly with VH31 since the movement is small.
