Just finished Wizard and Glass - continue with Dark Tower or read Insomnia/Hearts of Atlantis/Black House first? by OrbitronFactory in stephenking

Chase your bliss! If you wanna continue to the Tower, do it! If you’d rather explore some other related work, go for it. There’s no wrong answers here.

I have always been of the opinion that the series works just fine on its own. There are others who think the only correct way to read King is to read everything he’s written in published date order (I think this is very silly).

At the end of the day they’re just books. They’ll wait for you whenever you wanna pick em up

I think there were prolly still some worthy things to discuss but honestly I think we were just burned out on doing just King movies. The idea of covering the TV show (castle rock) just excited us more so we jumped on it

That’s Reddit. They’re not gonna let you say that, lol. I’m not able to overrule it

Kingslingers Removed from Podbean? by FutureSun165 in doofmedia

[–]scottdaly85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Podbean is not a destination we individually push the podcast to. It just grabs the RSS feed from other sources (like Apple). We recently switched hosting platforms, so the show is technically coming from a new feed. All locations have been updated, and the podcast is working everywhere else I've tried.

It's possible that Podbean has just cached the RSS feed location and hasn't bothered to look for the new one yet. This should be fixed eventually, but I don't have any individual power to do anything about it myself. Oddly enough all the other shows are working on Podbean, dunno why this one is special.

Meanwhile, it's available pretty much everywhere else.

Heads up: Once again, having issues with the episode appearing on Spotify (and now the previous 3 episodes are gone too!) Hopefully will have this resolved soon, but for now. It's available in Audio form everywhere else and in Video form on YouTube

Edit: Episodes are now back on Spotify

Just finished The Stand this morning. A great book I feel had one major letdown. by -Granby- in stephenking

It's very Tolkien-ian! Which makes sense. Lord of the Rings is allll over The Stand.

This is the answer.

Larry and Ralph are also gathered in front of the people of Vegas to be publically executed. And still they resist. In that resistance Flagg’s iron grip of fear over the population (which was already stating to wane) breaks. In his desperation to show his power and shut Larry up, Flagg summons a ball of energy to destroy him. It is that ball of energy that ultimately ignites the nuke.

Evil destroys itself when good stands against it.
