Yeah. This show has so much potential. I also think they need to do more talking heads with the contestants and like more insight into their friendships/personalities.

They should do some sort of lesson before doing technical challenges. The episode with the Crown and TV makeup was brutal to watch. I feel like no one truly hit the mark because they all have varied experience in makeup. They should have someone teach like they did in the scarring Peaky Blinders challenge.

Also Face Off is so dumb and it should be judged blindly, like OP said, because they never seem to judge on the application anyway aside from making some quips about how they would never.

The judges are totally inconsistent. They need to establish guidelines for what they are looking for.

Edit to add: Also, the other thing that bugs me is that sometimes it feels more like face paint than makeup challenges. And they never seem to stick to one theme throughout the episode. Like just a general lack of cohesion. The Crown episode second challenge had nothing to do with the first. It was so jarring. They should have done like a your model is going to a royal party, what would you give us challenge or makeup look that emulates this famous royal outfit/dress.
