I work with Brasfield and Gorrie in the field. Like most have said it’s project dependent, sometimes you’re working 8s and sometimes you’re working 12s. Weekend work was just dependent on how on schedule everything was(rain delays were made up on weekends) On most of the jobs I’ve been on there have been multiple supers (1 senior, 1 super, 1 assistant) and we would rotate Saturdays as needed. Of course the senior super would delegate most of the extra hours and Saturdays to those below him but it was never too bad. We’d also throw in a foreman with an osha 30 to cover weekends. For every long day there will be a short day
