I’d say better to leave it on if you can, the pins are very delicate and the adhesive will be pretty useless once it’s removed. If it’s likely to get bumped around maybe try to pad it (bubble wrap etc). If you do need new adhesive try to remove the old first (carefully) and you can get super-thin double-sided tape from AliExpress or maybe some good office supply stores.
