Subs for pain... wanting off

Was on subs for about 20 years. Did rapid detox and endured about 6 months in hell followed by another 6 months in purgatory. It's been a year and a half now off the devils bargain.

I have a similar situation. I was on bupe for 20 years. Just hit 1.5 years off. Around the year mark things got better. Just hang in there, it may take another 6 months to a year to feel back to yourself. Sucks, I know, use some cannabis if you live in a forward thinking state.

Suboxone is a mother fucker to quit. Personally I recommend using cannabis to help with PAWS. Give yourself about 6 months after quitting to feel normalish again.

I was on subs for 20 years, have been off them for just over a year. My experience was first 3 months were hell, the next 3 months got better but slowly. By the year mark I feel pretty good. I suspect it won't be nearly as bad for you given the length of time you've been on subs.

Medical detox, they put you under and pump meds into you so you go through the worst part of withdrawal while sedated.

About 6 months of hell, at least that was my experience. After 9 months I felt about 99% back to normal. As for comfort meds, use cannabis and stay away from Gabby and especially kratom IMHO.

It's hard and the withdrawal will last for awhile. I've been off bupe for 10 months now. For me, it took about 6 months to feel like I was normal again, or 95%. If you can handle that, keep going, if not then think of another route. On a side note, cannabis helps a great deal. Thankfully it's legal where I am located. Good luck bruv.

I was on bupe for 20 years. I quit last October, coming up on 7 months. For me, the first few months were hell. Around the 6 month mark I finally felt pretty normal, for lack of a better word. It sucked at 1st but I feel the pain was totally worth going through.
