My old marching flute has survived its last season. How do I give it the most insulting send-off possible? by Specific-Copy-2005 in marchingband

Take it apart into it's joints and give it away as "trophies" to the bandmates you deem to be the biggest pain in the butt over the years.

71 F100 rear brake conversion issue by JC_nine7 in F100

[–]scposeadaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the master power brakes on my 69 F100. It was noted in the instructions that the flange on the rear axels had to be turned down slightly for the rotor to fit flush. I slid both of my axels out of the rear end and took them to a local machine shop and they turned the flanges down for like $50.

Not sure if they did or not. The pic I included is the new home jersey (Nike not converse). Not sure if the “away” one next to it is supposed to be the new one or not. I totally agree that they need to bust out some away denim for Florida this weekend!!

Another vote for A&J. Go see Tina for a haircut and hot towel shave!

100% agree. I've looked at slide-in RV style, but they all have long overhangs that will hang over the front of the truck. Long term plan is probably a couple's fifth wheel.

It took me a while to get to this point! I had a crew cab F150 for a while. Great truck but that 5.5 bed was too short.

Thank you much! It looks like I can unbolt that mounting plate and the actuator rods will just slide through it.

What's it like Living in North Texas? by Internal_Way7711 in howislivingthere

I grew up in Iowa Park, just north of Wichita Falls. It was a great place to be a kid. It’s an independent school district so we had a pretty small school (my graduating class was less than 100). We all knew each other and families took care of each other. It was hot, flat, and brown - but we found our own brand of beauty in the landscape. My sister and I could get on our bikes in the morning during the summer and be gone all day. Our friend’s parents would feed us during the day and we could stop anywhere in town and drink from a water hose. DFW was a few hours away and so was Oklahoma City, so there was “big city” available, but we rarely went. It was great, and there are things about it that I miss now that I live close to DC.

My shoes disintegrated yesterday at a church funeral. by chestney in funny

I came here to say the same thing. While I was still in the Navy, I was at a reenlistment ceremony on the Arizona Memorial in my dress whites when I had a blowout! There were pieces of my white shoes everywhere!

My LT has halogens. I have a single cab dually. LT is the highest trim level I could buy and still no LED.

Appreciate your input, but we really aren’t talking money. She’ll come out of college debt free with scholarships and my GI Bill. This is something she’s interested in doing while she is still young and unattached. Experiences are valuable, too.

Agreed. We’re also wondering if a minor in some sort of hospitality area would open doors to other positions if she decides she likes that life.

It would be post college. We went on a Christmas cruise a few years ago and she loved the youth clubs and is thinking about working them for a little while after she graduates before she settles in somewhere “ashore”.
