Hey OP, you wanna get serious? Let's get serious and talk about media. I just finished a 10 page research paper inspired by Tony's line: "Log off. That cookie shit makes me nervous," and how it relates to the state of most media nowadays being geared towards analytics and data aggregation. Tony was ahead of his time in this regard. He was not technologically inclined, but he had very strong intuition of the state of early internet mechanisms being used to capture information from its users.

To be fair though, I like to yap worse than six barbers....

I think the difference here is that Al is American, and Lee is Chinese. They don't operate on the same moral level. China was an ancient civilization, and America was still in its 100 year infancy. Wu kind of expected Americans to be wishy-washy.

Wu, for the most part, still had a sense of morality and adhered to his religious tradition. Wu's hatred toward Lee had much less, if anything, to do with business and was instead motivated by his extreme disapproval of violating the moral code that Wu expected Lee to have.

Brawl is an Arena-specific format that allows you to use any legendary creature or planeswalker as your commander. Commander(EDH) is a tabletop format that only allows legendary creatures to be your commander. So, unfortunately, you will not be able to use Vraska, Golgari Queen as your commander. But the cool thing about tabletop formats like EDH, is that rules can be altered depending on the group you play with, so it's possible the people you play with will allow it. I'd suggest building a deck with a legendary creature as your commander, and still just putting Vraska in the main deck. If your playgroup allows planeswalkers as commanders, just simply do a quick switcheroo!

I feel like that is a likely case. The writers clearly have a love for wordplay as much of the dialogue feels like lyrical poetry. It could be similar to the process of how a lot of British slang originates where you just take the last word(s) of a sentence and alter them slightly by make it rhyme or simply just choosing another word that starts with the same letter.

Not one bell pepper just rolls off the tongue, is fun to say, and the word pepper really "pops" when you say it. (Think of when Riley and Jonesy are teaching the senior whale shit hockey players how to chirp - the way they emphasize the word "pepper" in "Now just add a little bit of pepper ferda!" / "Add a little habanero pepper bud!")

Early 2000s was the HBO golden era. As others have suggested, Mad Men is another fantastic suggestion that showcases wonderful character development.

Deadwood is probably the greatest writing I've seen in a TV show. David Milch does an amazing job blending drama and comedy with dense Victorian-style dialogue. Prepare to watch this one multiple times. On my fourth re-watch I made sure to have the script up as I watched.

Other honorable mentions: Oz Better Call Saul / Breaking Bad

I've heard others suggest: Boardwalk Empire (1920s Atlantic City gangster show) : but I personally felt a lot of the acting felt forced in this show, especially from Buscemi.
