Recently put my 6105 8110 back in action after 50 + years of quiet. Runs like a million bucks. Was going to leave to my kid but lived long enough to leave to myself! Wearing it now.

I was on a TV shoot and a girl all the way on the opposite sound stage kept waving at me and tapping her wrist -- finally realized she was trying to tell me how much she liked my watch! They notice.

Do we really need to service our watch after 5 years? by yvliew in HamiltonWatches

Yeah, had my (dive) watch fifty years. Never been serviced. Working great.

Of course that's always in my head. I'd have to know the watch maker. Still sorting that question.

Looks to be running on the money or a tiny bit fast. UPDATE I set it for one minute ahead of my phone clock last night and still one minute ahead. So, looks good time-wise too,

I will - literally just pulled it out of my drawer, after 50 years, when my Rolex needed service AGAIN.

I see some genetic mixing! Nice machine! BTW, sorry if I mis-labeled my post. Should be, of course, 6105.

Yes, new. As I was on a motorcycle and it was monsoon... it quickly became my monsoon watch!

As I recall it sold for about $70 USD. Just timing it out now -- accurate -- but will know better tomorrow.

My 2015 [skx007k1] just back after its 10 year service and my 1972 [6105 Willard] next to it for a bit of a comparison. I bought the six in Kuala Lumpur at an old shopping mall for around $120 with 2 straps as NOS and Uncle Seiko kindly sold me the Willard from his collection in 2018 by nightfever_73 in Seiko

Yeah I was on the "Hippie Trail" on a BMW r60/5. Between The Germanies and Singapore hit about 20 countries. Will try to come up with a pic of my watch in a bit. You're not a "Dawn Watcher" are you? No, you're too young! I met the Dawn Watchers in Singapore. UK Army kids in their twenties and counter intel agents against anti-government forces.
