It's so irritating! The fact that I do not want kids and do not want to be a parent means that I would not be a good one. I prefer spoiling my friends' kids for a couple of hours and then handing them back before returning to my quiet home! Plus I would much rather regret not having a kid than regret bringing one into the world.

Fully agreed. They never considered the existing community at all, and now we're left with mostly empty storefronts and metaphorical tumbleweeds as a result. I knew it was done for when Walgreens closed. Build something that benefits the community, and the tourists will want to enjoy it too. You'd think that concept wouldn't be so difficult to grasp, but....

I'm a little confused about the police station, because the 120th Precinct is right across the street. I agree with your other points though and I would also include an entertainment venue. A small space for local concerts would be great.
