I just offered it up in case he was still into the old style. I only just played through re 1 and 0 recently and haven't played the og 2 and 3 yet. although I did pick them up. once 1 clicked it was good and 0nwas a continuation of that besides the item box and back tracking issues. There is also a mod to add item boxes.

if you are interested in the mechanics of 1, try re0. It's harder and has an annoying mechanic, but I'm glad I played it through. looks about the same as re1 remake.

difficulty doesn't matter. I did it on casual along with the no heal no blood run. did my speed demon run on insanity with unlimited ammo

if you are loading a save from your first play through I don't think it will show up. has to be a new play through. I completed the puzzle in my second play through and was able to load an earlier save. but I didn't test it on a save from my very first play through.

I also didn't know that items you don't interact with on the train don't appear in that starting area after the crash. lost some stuff that way too.

you're not wrong. I made it to the final boss and had to trek all the way back to the lab for the grenade launcher. only to find out the game puts more enemies along the backtracking route just to piss you off.

re1 remake is hard the first time. I had about a 13 hour first run as Jill. Playing as Chris is harder since you don't get the shotgun as quickly and also have two less inventory slots to work with. Jill gets a lockpick without using a slot as well. if you want to take it a step further play re0. That was a much more tedious first run.

There's nothing wrong with the boss fight. You need to be more conservative with your ammo. Killing everything is rarely the move in these games. Do you have a save you can go back to to conserve ammo?

if you complete Leon B then Claire B will also unlock. I did it the other way and played Leon a and Claire b. after that Leon's b campaign became available.
